As a member of the Market Information team, you will consult and present to clients on risk and insurer financial strength. The Senior Advisor is responsible for all Latin America market reviews, placing portfolios, proposing new ideas and solutions around insurance placement, and establishing relationships with new and existing clients to grow the business. To be successful in this role the Senior Advisor will partner with Country Heads, Placement Leaders and Compliance.
Advises clients on the appropriate placement of their portfolio to decrease their risk exposure; using financial strength ratings, reports, executive summaries and industry exhibits
Conducts portfolio reviews of all markets on clients program on a quarterly basis.
Proposes new solutions around insurance placement for clients based on financial data, and quantitative analyses from junior colleagues.
Develops new initiatives based on risk information and information from prior client cases to help clients mitigate risk in insurance.
Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing clients and insurers to grow the business.
Partners with Executive Leadership to determine the strategic vision of the firm and to lead the team in reaching their financial targets.
Motivates team members to improve their understanding of financial and strategy advisory by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Analyze the financial condition of specific insurers and/or the entire industry with prospective and current clients, along with peer colleagues and industry organizations
Assess the financial climate of insurance companies for longterm claims and their ability to pay via the use of both loss revenue and cash flow analysis
Ability to manage high volume of clients
Fluent in Spanish language
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
10 years of professional experience supporting a line of business
10 + years of experience forecasting, budgeting and reporting
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Access desirable
Strong financial acumen with exceptional analytical skills
Leadership aptitude, ability to work effectively in teams and work with numerous stakeholders
Superior communication and presentation skills; both oral and written
Ability to work independently, with good judgement and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Experience with financial statements and chart of accounts
Experience with a general ledger and query system (Oracle Financials and Essbase preferred)
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple senior stakeholders within a large organization
