Job Responsibilities:
Applies principles of cost and general ledger accounting to conduct studies to provide detailed cost information and analysis. Compiles and maintains global consolidated financial statements and reporting requirements. Performs general accounting/analyst functions.

Core Functions:
Cost Accounting:
Uses cost accounting module while working closely with Global Operations, Production Control and Material departments; records cost information, analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports for use in controlling expenditures while reporting information to said departments
Plans study and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor; analyzes data obtained and records results
Conducts inventory analysis and cost rolls every quarter for both domestic and international entities
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Upon review, activates costs and purchase prices related to new and existing parts and product
Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation
Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
Recommends cost efficiencies in new products while working with Engineering, Marketing and other applicable departments
Month End Close/Consolidation & Balance Sheet Analysis:
Compiles and analyzes financial records and information from international offices to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions for our domestic operations
Prepares monthly account analysis of financial information on specified account detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
Prepares necessary journal entries to correct errors discovered in analysis
Makes recommendations regarding process and procedure of postings to accounts
Global Subsidiaries & Domestic Monthly Financials Review and Budget:
Complies the annual global budgets and prepares monthly budget to actual statements
Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers and owners
Other Job Functions
Provides support and back up for the following functions as needed:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
General Ledger Accounting
Gathers backup information for audits
Understands GAAP standards and makes recommendations for company to better meet said standards
Makes suggestions and implements changes to improve internal accounting control processes
Assists in monthly closings
Completes all other duties as assigned by management
The Senior Analyst may gain knowledge of certain confidential company information including but not limited to financial and personnel data and is expected to exercise a high degree of professional confidentiality in regards to the security of this information.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two to three years of cost accounting experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Must have three or more years of experience using spreadsheet and word processing programs. Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
Accounting Skills:
Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.
Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
Language Skills:
Ability to read English, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and government reports. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
