JOB DESCRIPTION:

Over the past few years, Abbott has undertaken a dynamic transformation spanning its innovative products to its technology infrastructure. With leading devices like FreeStyle Libre and AlinIQ, among others, Abbott and the patients we serve live in an increasingly advanced world. Moreover, Abbott's strategic acquisitions in 2017 of St. Jude Medical and Alere have amplified the breadth and complexity of its business.

To better facilitate company growth, Abbott is seeking a contract recruiter to support the Finance functions. This global organization works across all divisions and shared services and spans everything from financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, audit, commercial support, and more. This contract recruiter will be responsible for sourcing of passive candidates, commitment to diverse slates, managing job requisitions, screening candidates, and driving the full lifecycle recruitment process to completion.

This is a critical role that has a dramatic impact on business performance and candidate experience in support of a global function that is growing and diversifying its scope. Individuals should have 7-15 years of direct responsibility for recruitment, with some experience managing client interactions. Experience with contacting and cultivating passive candidates preferred. Experience supporting diversity recruitment preferred. Corporate experience preferred. Fortune 1000 experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recruitment and customer service for multiple client areas

  • Review account history as well as market and industry trends

  • Develop a hiring plan for each recruitment need

  • Interact with internal clients to define position requirements

  • Source passive candidates and provide diverse slates of candidates

  • Interview, evaluate and recommend candidates

  • Facilitate consensus building and sound decision-making among interviewers

  • Monitor account goals and deliverables (cycle time, cost, quality, etc.)

  • Address process non-compliance with hiring managers

  • Develop competitive offers and close the offer process

  • Facilitate an effective and efficient candidate process through onboarding

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with hiring managers and candidates

  • Ensure Workday database is updated in an accurate and timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7+ years of recruitment experience

  • Finance recruitment experience strongly preferred

  • Corporate experience preferred

  • Fortune 1000 experience preferred

  • Workday experience preferred

  • Superior customer service skills to maintain client relationships

  • Creativity and problem-solving skills (thinking outside the box)

Candidates must be willing to work onsite 3-5 days per week and be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

JOB DESCRIPTION: OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The position is responsible for providing financial leadership to the Legal/OEC EVP and organization, driving value creation and ensuring insightful, forward-looking forecasting. Specifically, this position oversees the Rolling LBE process, financial reporting as well as financial internal controls as well as overall financial support of Legal/OEC initiatives and programs; special emphasis on litigation and patent Spend. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Drive Strategic Initiatives and Programs: Evaluate and provide recommendations to the Legal/OEC EVP and staff on operational objectives and cost reductions to drive vision and long-term strategy. Support execution of key strategic programs, corporate initiative action plans and related results. Special emphasis on litigation and patent Spend. Ensure key initiatives, programs and related business cases are presented with complete and reliable financials. * Deliver Meaningful Financial Forecasts: Ensure short and long-term financial forecasts are presented in a meaningful way. Develop, implement and oversee processes to deliver clear and consistent forecasting and reporting of the organization's cost and value while aligning financial impacts across Abbott in a transparent manner. Foresee potential opportunities/risk and prepare contingency plans in advance. * Liaise with Finance Leadership: Develop and maintain relationships and transparent communication with division and other Corporate Finance leaders to ensure alignment on current and forward-looking initiatives and programs to drive and deliver meaningful forecasts and value creation. * Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee financial results as provided by Corporate Financial Services (CFS). Provide clear and meaningful financial reporting. Ensure compliance and champion internal controls and procedures. * Position manages team of three direct reports.
