We are seeking an experienced manager to lead a high performing team of individual Project Leads who support the Americas GBS organization by participating in projects to create or change financial systems to support Apple's growing business. This position is based in Austin, TX.

Key Qualifications

Experience in managing a team of finance professionals in a fast-moving environment

Working knowledge of complex processes involving multiple systems

Demonstrated experience leading multiple projects/initiatives at the same time

Experience driving process improvement, automation, and solving complex problems

Ability to act independently, be self-motivated, and motivate others

General working knowledge of the various aspects of the shared service center, including Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, and Record-to-ReportUnderstanding of the project lifecycle including gathering and documenting requirements, performing UAT, rolling out the project to the process area, and supporting warranty efforts

Excellent project management skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills in addition to the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity

Strong time management and analytical skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Ability to listen and provide clear input and coaching to develop team members

Excellent interpersonal skills including a mature and collaborative style of communicating with and influencing others

Proven track record of working well with all levels of an organization and an ability to actively engage stakeholders and customers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

Strong understanding of internal controls and ability to help design and implement new/changed controls

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsERP experience required, SAP knowledge highly beneficial; aptitude to develop detailed knowledge of Apple systems required

Description

  • Organize Project Leads to support cross functional projects Organize departmental meetings and trainings to ensure that Project Leads are kept up to date on initiatives within the larger GBS organization Ensure that team is aligned to complete projects on schedule and within budget constraints Work closely with Global Finance Project team (GFP), Global Process Owners (GPOs), and GBS process areas to drive critical projects to completion within time and budget while delivering key business requirements Represent GBS interests when working with both finance and line-of-business teams as projects are rolled out to the process areas Communicate project status to process area management and to the GBS senior managers on a monthly, quarterly, and as-needed basis Develop people to ensure the team continues to grow and develop as individuals and as a group Lead and support efforts to standardize project support globally Implement a plan for scale and succession for the Project organization within GBS Engage the right technical resources in capital funded initiatives, adequately address business requirements, and train users on new processes and systems

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred

We are passionate about supporting these teams and are looking for an equally as passionate and motivated project manager to help drive our programming and create meaningful impact. Reporting to the GRT Manager, this individual contributor role will be focused on managing the production and implementation of innovative global resiliency training programs. In this role, you will consult with members of the GRT Strategy Team to scope the requirements to build programming from strategy, to implementation, and into full-scale operation across the teams that keep our platform safe. Internally, you will partner with critical stakeholders to build out sustainable practices that drive efficiency and ensure quality of the employee experience. We need influencers who can align cross-functional partners to ensure the best possible experience for our platforms. To meet these demands, you'll need to be a natural problem solver, highly-effective communicator, and collaborative team player. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage all aspects of the GRT Programs Support, coordinate, and execute strategic project work across the GRT Manage reoccurring data reporting and communication practices Work across GRT programs to support production needs such as: internal program communications, program requirements, etc. Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships and liaison between the GRT and key stakeholder partners to stand up practices and processes Facilitate best-practice sharing and application Analyze complex support flows and provide recommendations for process, policy and product improvements Track and analyze key operational metrics to deeply understand the support ecosystem and help determine where to focus optimization efforts Use problem solving skills to resolve large and complex business problems MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience Experience communicating results of technical analyses with non-technical partners and leadership teams to influence the strategy of those teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in data analysis and reporting Proven track record of building out sustainable, scalable practices Experience working in a technology company or consulting firm Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field Experience in one of more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP or Haskell Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) Facebook Austin TX
