Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support both Regional and Global Finance projects. This role will support Financial analysis, process improvement, and reporting and will drive strong project management rigor and quality for all project activities from the initial phase through completion, including defining scope, managing key initiatives, and engaging with all project team members and stakeholders to facilitate communication, coordination, and effective execution to meet project deliverables.

  • Track deliverables and if required develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Define project success criteria, perform impact analysis, and track and report on project milestones and deliverables.

  • Drive implementation of solutions and facilitate the execution of project steps per the project plan and as agreed upon by the team. Engage members and coordinate efforts where appropriate. Provide direction to key team members and proactively report progress to stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Effectively manage assigned projects by demonstrating teamwork and directing/driving progress of team members. Seamlessly handle changing priorities and solicit assistance from multiple resources when needed.

  • Identify and address change management and communications needs stemming from project implementation. Ensure appropriate and timely communication of changes, as well as effective change management planning and strategy implementation. Proactively identify opportunities to improve effectiveness.

  • This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

  • Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor' degree is required in Business, Finance, or equivalent majors.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Finance related role and analysis within a demanding and fast paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Financial practices and policies in particular FP&A and Accounting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data as it relates to business and where required perform benchmarking

  • Direct project management experience including all aspects of process development and execution.

  • PMP and/or Six Sigma Certification highly preferred.

  • Results oriented

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft business applications with advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for limited resources

  • Proven high competency in stakeholder management; proficient in building relationships, well-developed interpersonal skills, and proven team-working skills

  • Responsible for analysis of the data flow, making conclusions, and transferring the analysis and conclusions into a format suitable for presentation to upper management, business leadership, and Finance colleagues.

  • Able to hunt down, assimilate, evaluate and interpret financial data as it relates to the business

  • Ability to create consistent best practices not only with Finance related processes but also business processes, and in turn create an effective and consistent working environment.

  • Customer focused with demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing in an effective manner

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a global, matrixed and dynamic environment is critical.

  • Flexible to changing business needs and the ability to lead a navigate a global team to achieve results

  • Ability to do Process mapping/flow chart skills using Visio is desirable.

Coordinates with Project Managers to obtain weekly schedule updates. Assists the Project Managers in providing more accurate forecasting of project expenditures. Essential Responsibilities * Evaluates capital projects schedules and interviews Project Managers to validate project scope inclusion in schedule. Defines critical path and validates that the project schedule is in compliance with the specific project Cost Activity Report. Provides project cost tracking and reporting to management and other project controls services as requested. * Incorporates the six step process into all capital project schedules. Expands schedule detail as needed. Recommends resources as needed for additional project schedule and cost development. * Demonstrates super user capabilities with the Online Project Management System. Provides Project Management with individual, plant and regional schedule reporting on a regular basis. * Assists Project Managers and other project personnel in preparing project Cost Activity Reports, work orders and various cost analyses. Promotes Project Office concept and communicates and establishes the Project Controls function with the Project Office. Understands, demonstrates and communicates the use of Work Breakdown Structures in project cost control. * Understands and applies project controls metrics, including but not limited to Earned Value Analysis, Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index and work order completion. Provides individual and group training to project personnel regarding project controls and metrics.
