Job Title: Senior Accounting Associate
As an Senior Accounting Associate, this full-time position will be responsible for accumulating, verifying, calculating and presenting financial and production data for AE Wealth Management, LLC. This individual will also serve as backup to the Controller in helping to run the day to day functions of the AEWM Finance department. We are looking for an individual with the ability to work with a team to problem solve and develop processes. This position will need to be very detailed oriented and able to build out reports. Strong communication skills are needed to facilitate between internal staff as well as vendors and agents.
Help develop continual process improvements and best practices
Facilitate new initiatives to the team and work with other stake holders on implementation
Agent production and profitability reporting
Assist in calculation of billings to clients
Assist with calculation of commissions and reporting related to agents
Communicate with vendors on any process improvements and general questions
Communicate with agents regarding questions on payments or commission calculations
Monitor compliance with agent contracts in regards to agent payments
Monitor accounts receivable payments from agents
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Skills and Experience Needed
Bachelors of Accounting
3-5 years of financial services industry experience preferred
QuickBooks and Orion experience preferred
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Ability to interact with all personality types and with all levels of staff
Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information
Exceptional problem determination skills with a high attention to detail
Professional approach and appearance
Previous RIA or Broker Dealer experience preferred
