Position Title: Manager, Finance

Reports to: CFO North America, Writing Division

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

This position reports to the CFO North America for the Writing Division and will partner with the brand development, trade marketing, and finance teams to drive profitable growth for the business. This role will help support the new product development process, the month-end process, budgeting, product profitability analysis, capital spending analysis, and various types of reporting. The work completed in this role will influence management decision making by providing timely and accurate financial information. The applicant should be comfortable working in a fast paced, flexible environment. The ability to work across teams effectively is critical to the success of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis and reporting for the brand development and trade marketing teams to guide decision-making

  • Analyze on a detailed basis and estimate profitability of new projects as well capital investments; responsible for modeling & tracking these new product investments

  • Work with functional counterparts to track metrics to improve decision making on key projects

  • Assist in modification/creation of models for projects such as new product launches & new market entry

  • Understand sales & profitability across segments & geographies

  • Provide month-end close support and analysis for reporting decks and variance explanations

  • Assist with the monthly sales estimate process and assist with building the annual sales budget

  • Work with the department to support the implementation of new processes and process improvements as needed

  • Oversee total A&P and Overheads expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the division

  • Support professional development of direct report (Sr Finance Analyst)

  • Complete other ad hoc analysis and requests as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting

  • CPA desired

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.

  • Significant experience with SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred

  • Leadership: Takes responsibility for delivering stated outcomes regardless of challenges encountered

  • Team management: Significant track record of developing strong finance teams that partner with stakeholders to drive growth

  • Communication: Can build relationships and influence people across all levels in a matrix organization

  • Executive presence: Comfortable working with and influencing senior leaders

  • Analytical skills: Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations

  • Personal qualities: Action oriented, resilient, curious, flexible, positive, collaborative
