Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

The FACS Finance Manager role directs the complex and diverse accountabilities of the FACS Finance team within the Cross-Enterprise Finance Applications Support & Strategy organization.

The Financial Accounting Control System (FACS) is an Enterprise Finance application providing centralized instrument-level balances and transactions from wholesale trading, loan and deposit systems of record (SOR). In addition to SOR data, FACS provides key functionality relevant to the complex needs of its users, including a daily P&L adjustment interface and the position-level calculation of cost of funds for traded securities. FACS is utilized by Business Finance, Controllers, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, and other internal partners to fulfill reporting and control requirements of management, front office, and regulators. FACS' instrument-level balances are substantiated daily to the books and records of each SOR's sub-ledger in addition to Wells Fargo's GL activity.

The leader will drive application strategy and execution for these critical Product Control functions:

  • Daily trading profit and loss reporting

  • Balance sheet substantiation

  • Trade level substantiation and profit and loss attribution

  • Front to back office controls

  • Volcker reporting asset turnover calculations and attestation controls

  • Ad-hoc and miscellaneous managerial reporting across all trading businesses

  • Matched maturity funds transfer pricing methodology for Wells Fargo Securities traded products, including product level rate assignment and cross line of business internalization

The manager will also partner with DMI leadership to support a multi-year strategic roadmap for data sourcing and provisioning. Expectations derived from this roadmap will include:

  • Develop plan to identify and transition core data accountabilities to DMI

  • Implement tactical data sourcing and provisioning deliverables within FACS

  • Ensure required reporting and control processes are maintained

  • Integrate data as a functional consumer

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

.Candidate can be located in any of the strategic Finance hubs: Charlotte, St. Louis, Phoenix, Des Moines or Minneapolis.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
  • 2+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success and mastery managing in a matrixed environment

  • 3+ years managing a team of managers including globally dispersed teams

  • Ability to present information across a variety of audiences and constituencies in order to create understanding and influence decisions

  • Experience leading support and implementation for finance, accounting, product control processes and applications

  • Exceptional track record of delivering results

  • Demonstrated excellence in leading teams through business transformation and process improvement

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $105,000 Mid: $150,000
