The Finance & Admin Business Analyst is essential to the ongoing profitable operations for one of the most globally recognized and respected companies in the world. By overseeing our financial activities, you will enable IBM to continue to bring to market ground-breaking innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, and Blockchain technologies, to name a few.

Your Role and Responsibilities


This role is responsible for managing the day to day activities of Comp Defense Trade Spend and Contract Maintenance Teams. Monitoring SOX Controls, payment accuracy, and relationship with client sales team are essential to the role.


  • Ensuring National Beverages Agreements are accurately reflected in funding system to ensure accounting and financial accuracy impacting client's P&L and balance sheet

  • Review and approve payments up to $250K to ensure they are aligned with contractual terms for client and their customer

  • Review and sign off on weekly and periodic operational and system controls

  • Accurately interpret customer agreements and provide guidance to team to ensure accurate GL activity

  • Perform risk analysis as necessary for customers that are in breach of contract or upon request

  • Effectively analyze customer performance against forecast and be able to make appropriate recommendations to financial planners on annual financial exposure

  • Prepare monthly performance review for internal and client senior leaders

  • Manage requests from National Sales Team

  • Execute Daily, Weekly and Periodic SOX and operational controls

  • Manage escalations on accounts within Trade Spend Portfolio

  • Effectively manage desk with competing priorities

  • Prepare and Review journal entries for manual accruals and Balance Sheet corrections

Ensure SLA compliance for all processes

  • Build successful working relationships with internal and external business partners with an emphasis on client relations

  • Provide operational and developmental coaching to subordinates on a monthly bases

  • Enforce company policy in accordance to the IBM Business Conduct Guidelines

  • Maintain attendance tracking for subordinates

  • This position is located in Winston-Salem, NC

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other related area
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
