The Finance Manager, Supply Chain, is responsible for the monthly and year end accounting, and Budget and forecast processes, for all areas of supply chain finance, including Cost of Goods Sold, Inventory, Capital Expenditures, Fixed Assets, Transportation/Freight, and Cost Improvement project support. This position is the key business partner for the VP of Operations, and an SAP key user. This position oversees a staff of two employees.

Required Skills

Coordinate the monthly close process for Supply Chain Finance, including explanation of results and variances

Develop and maintain accurate product costing

Coordinate and develop cost, inventory, fixed asset and capital expenditure forecasts for the Budget and key planning processes

Coordinate the preparation of required reporting and analysis for both local headquarter requirements, as well as corporate headquarters in Munich, Germany

Key business partner for VP of Operations

Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects as directed by the Finance Director

Required Experience
4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required

MBA or CPA preferred
8-12 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required

SAP ERP experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Full understanding of US GAAP required, and IFRS experience preferred. German HBII experience a plus.

Job Description Located in Westminster, Maryland, Knorr Brake Company (KBC) is a manufacturer of Braking, Door, and HVAC systems for the Mass Transit Rail Industry. KBC is division of Knorr-Bremse, AG a Munich Germany based global leader in the design and manufacture of Brakes, Doors, HVAC, and on-Board OEM systems, aftermarket spare parts, overhaul & maintenance services for the Mass Transit Rail. Major responsibilities of the position include the following: * Work with Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist to assist in maintaining 3rd Party Logistics supplier for domestic supply chain to ensure proper carriers are used for specific lanes contracted in each region in the United States. Transfers of carrier billings to appropriate business units and updates to Transportation Dash board in EXCEL. * Assist Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist with Recordkeeping activity – including record retention and destruction, as per the direction of management. * Assist in tracking premium freight and logistic services within the given business unit budgets. This includes tracking of costs on standard and premium inbound and outbound ground, air, and sea transportation. Education and Experience: * Current college student preferably studying Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Business Administration. * GPA 3.0 or higher * Energetic person willing to learn about global transportation, customs, and export regulations * Understands basic use of Excel and PowerPoint * Professional communication skills This is a paid internship.
