Provides cross zone financial support to the WRDM Medicinal Sciences group of operating lines, including being the Finance Partner on several of the smaller operating lines. Perform opex budget, actual and forecast reporting and analytics and project management.
Under the direction of the Med Sci finance lead and in support of the Med Sci finance senior managers provide financial support to the Med Sci zone.
Will have responsibility to provide financial support and guidance to operational line stakeholders.
Will assist on ad-hoc financial analyses as well as partner with the Med Sci Finance lead to provide insights on potential Med Sci investments.
Prepare business results, financial projections and analyses. Where needed perform Mosaic load activities.
Identify trends, opportunities and recommendations for action to clients.
Coordinates budgeting and forecasting processes with clients and other internal stakeholders to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of the month end close and reporting, forecasts, and annual operating plan.
Collaborates with clients to manage budget within authorized target, support decision making and drive efficiency savings.
Provide financial analysis in support of Operating Plan.
Participates in continuous improvement efforts within the broader R&D Finance organization
Directs/manages all supporting activities to Med Sci finance provided by the Partner Line analysts in the FP&A operations pool
5-7+ years of finance experience.
Bachelor's degree required. MBA and/or CPA/ACA strongly preferred.
Experience should include budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis for a global organization.
Knowledge of accounting and prior experience in monthly financial close activities.
Ability to communicate financial concepts to business leaders.
