Position Description

In this three to six month paid Management Training program you will enjoy working in the big leagues with our Finance Team. Your learning track will consist of an overview of vital aspects of our operations and soft skill training focusing on managing budgets, data and analytics. Your participation in the "on-the-job" training will provide valuable knowledge and experience to enhance your career opportunities

VIEW JOBS 2/28/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-28T00:00 Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The Washington DC Training Center Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the training center and to contribute to the revenue growth by ensuring outstanding customer service. The manager will lead the staff and build an effective, positive team and customer experience for up to 500 students and 24 instructors, employees, each day. The Training Center Manager's specific responsibilities include: Staff Management: * Supervise a staff of three, including work schedules, work assignments, systems trainings and annual performance reviews/plans for the team * Coordinate and set priorities for the onsite Information Technology representative Customer Service: * Welcome students, instructors and visitors with information about the training center and surrounding area, including restaurants, transportation, tourist sites and other sources of information * Speak to students and instructors as requested in the classroom * Coordinate delivery of additional information concerning classes and registration, certificate programs, and identify proper department and communication for further assistance * Review all training center student evaluations and follow-up/resolve any documented issues * Process walk-in registrations, and payments Facility Management: * Ensure the Washington DC training center is always neat and orderly * Work with building management to resolve any facility issues through a pro-active approach using their on-line system * Ensure the safety and security of over 500 people daily * Administer and communicate emergency plans and coordinate any emergency services needed * Ability to spend the night(s) in a local hotel to ensure the facility can open on time in the event of a weather emergency as part of our essential employee team Office Administration: * Responsible for efficiently running the front desk/reception area including answering phones, greeting students and instructors in a friendly and professional manner * Maintain and update the training center procedures manual * Procure office and break room supplies * Produce training center statistics and recommendations based on trends * Responsible for the oversight of classroom set-up and break room. May be required to assist with these duties at times * Troubleshoot all problems within the training center * Work independently or with IT to monitor and troubleshoot office equipment and effectively communicate any issues to the appropriate person. * Assist classes and students with E-books * Administer monthly re-test in coordination with Student Records * Attend and participate in Operations Managers' meetings and Remote Experience team meetings Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: * At least 4-5 years of prior staff supervisory experience is required * Supervisory experience in an office, facility management, and/or customer service role is preferred * A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required * Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak in front of groups of 20 to 30 people * The ability to lift and move 35 pounds * A positive, can-do approach to resolving issues * Excellent interpersonal skills * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
