Job Summary:

Generac Power Systems- Come work for the leader in the power industry! Our office in Waukesha, WI is seeking a Finance Manager.

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for SEC reporting, XBRL compliance, corporate consolidations, internal financial reporting and technical accounting projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and XBRL compliance, including interaction with domestic and international subsidiaries.

  • Responsible for monthly financial consolidations process, including preparing and recording consolidation entries, and financial statement review. Manage senior consolidation analyst.

  • Project manage and lead the technical analysis for any new accounting pronouncements, including preparation of technical memos, policy updates, assisting the auditors, assessment of implementation and transition controls and internal communications.

  • Assist with future acquisition and international growth strategy technical accounting assessment, consolidations, integration, etc.

  • Responsible for the accounting for EPS, stock compensation, acquisition purchase accounting, non-controlling interests, debt, restructuring reserves, intangible asset impairment analysis, segment reporting and other technical areas as applicable. Perform monthly reconciliations within Blackline for areas of responsibility.

  • Research and conclude on company-wide technical accounting matters.

  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit.

  • Assist with quarterly earnings release.

  • Oversee changes, enhancements and updates to our consolidation software, Longview.

  • Lead corporate oversight and review for lease accounting.

  • Provide budget and forecast estimates for intangible amortization, deferred financing costs and original issue discounts, stock compensation expense, and diluted share count.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical demands:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public Accounting experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Experience with Longview or equivalent consolidation and reporting software

  • Previous experience with SAP or equivalent ERP

  • Managerial experience

  • Global manufacturing experience

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

Job Summary Critical role within the finance team providing leadership and analytical support across multiple functions within the organization and corporate. Highly visible and participatory in cross functional strategic analysis and decision support acting as an internal financial/data consultant. Operates and adheres to monthly and annual fiscal calendar timelines, providing the underlying analysis and messaging around results and forecasts. Guides, develops, and prioritizes work for dedicated team with an eye towards continually improving analytical bench strength. This role will support SAP development with the intent to increase SAP utilization and focus on improving the timeliness of the dissemination of accurate actionable data across the organization. The Manager plays a significant role in the financial management of the business. S/he should have a continuous improvement mindset and challenge current processes, identify opportunities for automation, implement change, and pursue initiatives/projects that are accretive to the business unit. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Monthly: * Supports the accounting close process as necessary (account reconciliation reviews, reporting, etc.) * Perform or delegate capture of data sets to assist in analysis and reporting/dash boards, may be more frequent than monthly * Analyze and interpret operating results and order activity as they affect the financial position of the company * Coordinates and drafts Management Business Review (MBR) slide deck (corporate audience) for internal review * Review and revise cash forecasting as necessary to ensure accuracy and provide risk and opportunity visibility * Engage commercial team on sales forecasts and achievement of sales and margin targets * Quarterly/Annually/Ad hoc: * Supports quarterly forecast process with impactful analysis and ability to effectively communicate variances * Engages business unit locations and function leaders to assist in the creation of annual strategic plans and budgets * Support and lead cross functional project teams to increase the accuracy and utilization of SAP data * Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events * Manage capital appropriation request process * All other projects as assigned including, but not limited to: make vs. buy analysis, lease vs buy analysis, customer price modeling (escalation), collective bargaining support, incentive plan derivation, bid costing, commodity hedging, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Leadership: * Proficient in leading cross functional teams without direct management authority * Team player with strong people skills, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization * Guide and develop finance staff (direct and indirect), assess and grow talent/bench strength * Facilitate and drive change with continuous improvement mindset * Excels in communication/messaging the results of detailed analytical models * Judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information * Systems: * Proficient in Microsoft Office package, advanced Excel user with database functionality * Progressive analytical and modeling skills * ERP experience, preferably SAP * Enterprise consolidation software, preferably Hyperion EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education / Experience * 4 Year Degree in Business Administration with focus in Accounting or Finance * 10+ Years of experience in a broad range of progressive accounting/finance roles in a manufacturing environment Preferred Education / Experience * CPA, CMA, MBA or completed course work at the graduate level preferred * SAP and/or relational database experience (Access, SQL) About SPX SPX Transformer Solutions, Inc.
