The Opportunity
We are seeking an individual with a high level of accountability and initiative to join the Mills FP&A Team. The Mills FP&A Team is responsible for partnering with business and finance leaders to lead financial close and planning processes while providing reporting and analytical support to create business value. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Business Areas such as Leadership, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, Mill Financial Teams, Strategy and M&A in the facilitation of month end close and consolidation/preparation of mill operations reporting. The role includes ad-hoc analysis such as support for Corporate FP&A, supply & demand options and trade-offs as well as participating in and/or leading financial report automation, utilizing PowerAutomate tools, Alteryx and Qlik reporting. In addition, the Finance Manager will participate on project teams, periodically acting as the 'finance lead' on these teams. In performing these roles, the Finance Manager will be expected to interact with numerous functional departments and with numerous.
How You Will Impact WestRock
This highly visible role will provide strategic and analytical support for Mill Operations, leading the closing and reporting pillar of Mills FP&A
Coordinates monthly financial close/forecasting processes for XX Network Mills
Works with Mill Operations to build reliable cost and statistical performance data to enable benchmarking, trend analysis with a forward-looking approach
Works with the mill and commercial finance teams to have the most accurate insights to articulate results drivers for executive presentations
Devise enhancement to reporting templates & processes aimed at driving transparency and real-time reporting to facilitate strategic decision making for management
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in business-related field required
3+ years' work experience including background in FP&A
Demonstrated skill and comfort in building financial models and extracting actionable data
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to accuracy, passion for improvement, and desire to work in a team/collaborative environment
Strong Microsoft skills (Excel); previous Hyperion Essbase or similar required; JD Edwards a plus; Experience with automation & visualization tools highly preferred
Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact credibly and diplomatically with multiple levels in the organization
Ability to multi-task and perform at a high level in a demanding and fast paced environment
Must possess the potential and desire to advance to leadership roles
Ability to work independently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc requests
