About the Role!
As the FP&A Finance Manager, Americas, you will lead financial and analytical insights and business planning support to Upfield's North America and LatAm regions. In this role, you will drive standardized Upfield processes/ways of working and market adoption and also through thought leadership and cross-functional partnering. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the financial planning and analysis in the markets within the Americas and working closely with the Regional CFOs to ensure accurate and timely financial information with would help decision making. The role will manage one direct report who will be managing FP&A activities for Latam.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop one direct report residing in LatAm.
Support CFOs for North America and LatAm with adhoc analyses, forecasting, annual planning, IVCP strategy, etc.
Lead month-end close consolidation and reporting, including monthly Business Performance Results deck, Executive Committee letter, volume dashboard and key cell tracking
Lead market interventions to understand (in depth) performance drivers and mitigating actions including risk and opps
Encourage use of standardized reporting and adoption (self-service) in markets
Coordinate and optimize P&L forecasting process
Support NRM and Commercial priorities
Lead communications for Americas CFOs and commercial finance team and act as the conduit between NA and LatAm
Act as the go-to contact for Regional business results, reporting (especially BPC) and market/regional analytics
Lead annual planning process and oversee all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes
Coordinate IVCP 3 year strategy process
Interface between region/markets and global Finance teams (R2R, FP&A)
Work with Global FP&A team to drive consistency across global Upfield
Support group FP&A Manager in group reporting and analysis
Support Americas President and Head of Strategy/Transformation through consolidated financials, analytics and insights.
Share best practices across Americas Market Units and globally
Drive the Weekly Sales Consolidation (Flash) and analysis for Americas
Support the global FP&A team on BPC heath check and/or other reporting projects
Willing and able to travel to Canada and Mexico (limited travel)
About you!
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in FP&A within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in the US/North America
5-7 years of relevant work experience, including experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent
Advanced SAP knowledge and experience including BPC, BW, and excel interfaces
Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to respond under pressure
Strong leader experienced in working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment
Ability to influence senior stakeholders
Managing teams remotely who are based in different locations
Flexible and open-minded, quick to adapt to changing requirements
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Very strong work ethic, resilience in the face of pressure, good team player, ability to meet multiple stretching deadlines, and willingness to work extra hours
Strong analytical bias and Microsoft Excel skills
PowerPoint capability
