Regional Office of Education Date Available: 10/07/2024 Closing Date: 09/20/2024 District: DeKalb County Regional Office of Education - website Finance Manager QUALIFICATIONS : Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience Educational and/or work experience in bookkeeping and accounting, including the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Proficient with QuickBooks accounting program Computer proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook Attention to details Skilled in confidentiality and fraud prevention Human relations skills with a team-oriented attitude Outstanding organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean environment RESPONSIBILITIES : Processes and manages Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Reconciles daily cash receipts, prepares deposits, and posts deposits to General Ledger Integrates new budgets and budget amendments into the accounting system Reconciles bank statements Prepares financial statements Prepares and submits all documentation for annual audits Performs backup procedures to protect and secure financial data Oversees payroll and benefits (IMRF and TRS) Review, maintain, and update fiscal policy and procedure Enforces procedures to prevent fraud Grants administration Professionally communicates with clients and staff Prepares and distributes reports Attend professional development as needed General office duties Performs other related duties as assigned Reports to: Regional Superintendent and Assistant Regional Superintendent Work schedule: 28-35 hours per week; 12 months Compensation : salary regionally competitive and based on experience; IMRF benefits; limited paid holidays and sick/personal time; health insurance supplement Start date: October 1, 2024
