Customer Experience Transformation Team

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. Join the Customer Experience Transformation team as a Finance Manager and be part of a growing team that is working on new and exciting Verizon initiatives! In this role you will grow your FP&A leadership skills while partnering with the business and evaluate and develop complex business cases.

  • Own the development of financial models and building infrastructure for reporting and analysis activities.

  • Lead communication of the plan and forecast, financial reporting, operational analysis and executive reviews for Actuals, Forecast and Business Plan.

  • Evaluate business results and serve as a functional expert to the business client to provide strategic guidance and insights during the analysis process.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to complex business performance issues to define and execute action plans.

  • Accountable for making decisions and recommendations to ensure the quality and delivery of all the products and services.

  • Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses of business trends, including budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide recommendations.

  • Partner with the business to develop costing/profitability models and reports.

  • Assess the impact of strategic financial decisions and present recommendations to leadership.

  • Design, develop and implement digital finance strategies to continually improve processes.

  • Assess customer/product profitability and drive profit optimization.

  • Develop and assess business cases for investment decisions, providing insights and support to the business.

  • Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or four years of equivalent work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Financial modeling experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

  • Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.

  • Experience supporting marketing.

  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).

  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices and International Financial Reporting.

  • Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View and Hyperion Planning.

  • Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal supervision.

  • Experience forecasting and managing expenses and capital spend with a strong project management background.

  • Experience building financial models and evaluation of return on business case proposals

  • A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.

  • Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations.

  • An advanced understanding of financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.

  • Demonstrated in depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis. Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.

Verizon's Customer Experience organization has an opening for a role designed to help transform the way Omni-channels operate to drive improved business performance while exceeding customer experience expectations. The role will reimagine the customer experience and enable the sales, service and digital channels through enabling technologies including Salesforce.com, Pega, Adobe among others. This leader will manage a team of product owners and business analyst to strategize, design and help deliver against our customer experience goals. * Work closely with the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) Director and stakeholders to drive the Consumer Omni-Channel CXP program strategy, and develop three, six and twelve month roadmaps. * Overall CXP product owner and key functional architect driving more strategic, insightful and advanced features and analytics. * Ensure the overall integrity of the system architecture and performance by working closely with our System Integrator, vendor, GTS, BT and Design partners. * Manage CXP functional evolution through monthly feature releases and sprints, engaging the channel solutions specialists to ensure field feedback is incorporated into new features and adoption plans. * Manage ROI and program KPI analytics. * Work on new platform capabilities (AI, Decisioning, Chat, Marketing Cloud, Machine Learning etc.) and launching out to new omni-channels. What we're looking for... You are flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities. You have logic based decision making and can work collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a team as well as independently. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can communicate at all levels of the organization including senior management.
