The Protein North America Aftermarket business units, with annual revenue of ~$140M is part of the Protein group within the FoodTech segment of JBT. The Finance Lead for Customer Care Aftermarket division which reports to the Finance Director and supports the Protein NA business and their respective directors to actively lead the aftermarket business helping drive business results through process and efficiency improvements. Other focus areas include financial reporting, developing forecast and financial close support.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the business, supporting and advising management on strategic and operational financial decision making resulting in better business performance by: interpreting, explaining and driving performance within the business; presenting a dynamic industry, competitor and economic context, supporting and influencing key operational and strategic decisions; advising on key business planning opportunities; and providing ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.

  • Advise management on and initiate programs focused on increasing effectiveness & profitability while ensuring alignment with the company's overall business and financial strategies.

  • Review financial results information; identify opportunities to improve and provide actionable insights to General Manager, Finance Director and Department Managers.

  • Assists in preparing annual operating plan, department spending budgets and service utilization models.

  • Acts as a champion for relentless continuous improvement.

  • Participates in various business improvement initiatives, including lean, SQDC, SIOP and other business improvement activities mainly by providing financial guidance and support.

  • Develop, validate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and Monitor multiple Project National initiatives- verify results reported and ensure process improvements are maintained.

  • Prepares timely various periodic financial and management reports such as monthly BPR, P&L and Balance Sheet, period cost details, manufacturing productivity and variance reports, product line profitability reports and others with highest degree of accuracy.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor's degree with Accounting or Finance is required. CPA/MBA preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 4-7 years' experience in operations finance, forecasting, budgeting, data analysis, cost analysis, and financial reporting experience in a service environment.

Personal Characteristics:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to develop strong business relationships and provide functional leadership even though coworkers do not report directly to this position.

Disciplined work ethic, detail oriented and well organized. Effective communication skills (written, spoken and listening) are required with ability to interact with all levels of management. Must be a focused, proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills and the able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Financial Responsibility:

Primary finance P&L owner for the $140M aftermarket business rolling into Protein NA.

Work Environment:

General office environment, responsibilities require time in warehouse, travel to other locations including customer sites.

Physical Demands:

Frequent sitting, repetitive motions such as typing and other office environment functions.

Essential Duties Provides prompt, courteous customer service and resolves customer issues on shift. Provides training assistance to new Customer Service Representatives. Performs shift supervision. Completes all store merchandise build-to's May complete a grocery order and delivery. May provide direction for managing the fast food service area of the store. Knows the gasoline pricing strategy for the store and changes gasoline prices correctly. Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order. Contacts maintenance for repair when needed. Receives and verifies vendor deliveries. Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses. Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits. Assists new applicants with application process. Performs all duties with minimal supervision. Attends job-related meetings (may be required to work irregular hours) Ring up all sales on cash register properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment received for products sold. Performs multi-function operation of fuel console, lottery machine, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc. Performs multi-function and cleaning duties necessary to maintain store cleanliness inside and out; basic upkeep and cleaning of all equipment at store. Complete daily store reports and other duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Working Conditions Perform approximately 95% of all work indoors, but will be required to work outside to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while performing occasional work in a walk in cooler and/or freezer. Exposure to occasional noise. Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision. Physical Functions Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels). Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level (i.e., to replenish fountain syrups). Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e., utilizing a hand-truck). Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday. Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands up to all day. (This handwork requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs).
