Job Summary

The Black and Veatch Finance Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students: 1) Clear learning objectives and goals. 2) Meaningful experience of a working environment through daily responsibilities and challenging projects. 3) Introduction to Black and Veatch corporate culture and various financial tracks through Job Shadowing. 4) Feedback and Evaluations Intern works under close supervision of Finance supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis:

  • May support financial analysis by providing requested information

Financial Reporting:

  • May prepares basic financial reports

  • Identifies basic variances to plan . May support financial planning by providing requested information

Financial ToolandModel Development:

  • May work to gain basic level of enterprise-wide business systems knowledge to obtain and analyze basic data

Special Projects:

  • Special projects as required

Management Responsibilities:

  • Individual contributor with no subordinates

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in Accounting or Finance program. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Marketing Communication Specialist- MHC Commercial Finance. The primary function of the Marketing Communication Specialist - MHC Commercial Finance is to develop and organize AP style, journalistic quality content for all sales tools and communications that support the business both internally and externally. Works with our marketing sources to ensure brand and content consistency . * Develops and contributes internal news reporting by identifying story leads, reporting the details and creating AP style articles for internal newsletters, intranet stories, or other internal communications as needed. Provides additional assistance to develop Press Releases, blogs, Social Media, web content, email communication and other ad hoc requests. * Supports specific sales initiatives designed to enhance the sales process in all MHC channels. This includes developing content for printed collateral, sell sheets, infographics, e-newsletters, presentations, digital media, company branded business cards and apparel, print advertising and other general company items as needed. There will be shared responsibility for maintaining the company internal library of materials. * Manages ongoing advertising efforts with our online and print publishers (ie: AdWords, National and Local Trucking Associations, etc.) including content creation, photography/video, editing, publishing and inspecting the ROI of various publications. Works with the Marketing Specialist to manage video and photography needs and inventory. * Monitors the industry event updates and coordinates any merchandising, collateral or video needs for MHC events such as truck shows, open houses, customer nights, etc. * Supports SEO monthly analysis of Google Analytics and Moz Pro, among other tools, to boost search engine rankings. Adjust any keyword, title tags, mega data, etc. to increase online presence for MHC Factoring. * Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Marketing * Three to five years of marketing, CRM, Salesforce, sales operations, automation or system experience required. * Ability to review a variety of data points and assess best course. * Must have SEO experience and the ability to determine adjustments necessary. * Must have MS Office and Adobe knowledge, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sitecore highly desire.
