Job Description:

The intern role within the Jackson plant will be exposed to all of the critical financial processes and rhythms of a manufacturing plant, including month end closing, reporting and forecasting. Strong introduction into manufacturing processes and BOMs, routings, and different absorption rates of multiple product lines. Additionally, this intern will have the opportunity to interact with members of the materials, engineering, quality, and operations teams and work cross functionally to complete tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Intern will have the opportunity to experience financial processes in a manufacturing environment. Possible responsibilities include:

  • Support and assist plant controller and financial analyst with daily and monthly analysis and reporting. Support the team with month end closing.

    Assist with analyzing financial information to produce weekly and monthly forecasts. Participate in and support Kaizen activities.

Our Requirements:

  • Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Junior or Senior preferred) Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Proven Leadership in and out of the classroom An active participant on a team or in a collaborative environment Strong Knowledge/Skills of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Strong communications and presentations skills
