The Schneider organization has an immediate need for a Finance Intern who will provide support in the monthly closing and account reconciliation process. In this position you may also complete financial and other surveys received from various governmental agencies. The Finance Intern will gain an understanding of the various functions performed by the Finance Department as well as developing analytical and time management skills. You will gain visibility to the various entities of Schneider while developing insights to the financial arm of a large organization.

The primary focus of this role will be on transaction analysis and asset and expense management. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Performing audit procedures to determine transactional compliance with established fiscal policies, rules, and regulations oMaintaining asset management of multiple cost centers (Inventory, Accounts Receivable) oEvaluating internal control structure with non-traditional branch/POS systems oTesting for compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act o Developing audit findings and making recommendations for improvement oSummarizing and performing analytical reviews of account balances oCommunicating with non-store sales teams to provide assistance and solutions, along with collaborating with corporate departments o Preparing monthly and quarterly reports oDeveloping and implementing process improvements REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements o At least 2 years of Finance work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office products o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Ability work independently and in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Ability and willingness to travel occasionally o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior experience working in a Branch/POS.
