About the Role

The Revenue and Margin Finance team drives profitable growth partnering with our essential Revenue Business leaders: Advertising, Commerce (Subscriptions, Bits, Digital Items) and other revenue (including Merchandising). As the Finance Director, you will lead projects and reporting. This involves building complex forecasting models, optimizing Indicators to enhance financial results, leading monthly/quarterly P&L reviews and long-term strategic planning. You will report to the Senior Director of Finance.

You Will:

  • Represent the team and Finance both inside and outside the CFO organization, building trusting relationships and lead outcomes

  • Be an expert to our Collaborators and develop a 5-year financial roadmap for revenue-generating functions

  • Lead in-depth monthly, quarterly re-forecasts and periodical Business Reviews

  • Guide investments by leading strategic cost-benefit analysis (including Return on investment, LTV and other similar financial models)

  • Oversee the development/improvement of complex forecasting models and provide coaching to less experienced team members

  • Partner with Accounting, Tax and Corporate Strategy on core strategic programs

  • Prepare clear and bring concise written/verbal recommendations to Executives

  • Understand the industry and the business to achieve relevant insights

You Have:

  • Business savviness and the ability to translate complex business operating models and operational Indicators into financial performance

  • Team-first mentality and help improve Finance in the organization

  • Solid knowledge of the P&L and GAAP principles

  • Partner with C-suite level executives

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-15T00:00 SUMMARY Twitter, Inc. is looking for a Data Leader for our Finance group responsible for leading all data governance and implementation activities across Twitter Finance. The Data Leader will onboard Data Stewards (starting with one and increasing based on need) to implement data governance while creating alignment and integration of data and information across all appropriate areas. This position is a senior level leadership position responsible for the group-wide data governance program to improve the quality and value of critical business data to drive better business outcomes in alignment with corporate goals and strategy. He or she is responsible for ultimately driving all data governance activities across Finance functions and for ensuring the Data Stewards implement data governance policies and procedures in a consistent and effective manner. The Data Leader is also responsible for data architecture design and implementation working closely with Twitter's enterprise-wide data leader, head of IT, and functional leaders. The Data Leader possesses a balance of business knowledge, technical expertise, and management skills enabling him or her to define the data governance vision that supports business performance and Twitter Finance goals. The Data Leader will ensure policies and initiatives adhere to enterprise IT architecture standards and conform to regulatory obligations around information security & privacy, transparency, and auditability. Although this is a senior level position with direct management authority, the wide scope of this position requires the ability to both effectively collaborate within one's own department and across broad parts of the organization and to influence others without reliance on formal authority. RESPONSIBILITIES * Sets data-related strategic priorities and direction for Twitter Finance. Responsible for owning and implementing a data roadmap to build a data competency and tools that will enable Twitter Finance to better leverage data to improve operations, insights to business partners, and experience for customers. * Champions data as a strategic business asset and revenue driver. * Owns the end results of the Data Governance program efforts, ensuring that outputs are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit * Partner with Enterprise Data Management lead on the Data Governance frameworks and broader enterprise-level initiatives * Manages large-scale, complex projects involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners. * Designs multi-team and system blueprint of data for Twitter Finance. * Ensures there is a clear linkage between the data governance policy and Twitter Finance vision, functional goals, and systems. Ensures mechanisms to measure the benefits of initiatives are in place. * Participates in regular data governance team, project, and leadership meetings, and is Twitter Finance's representative on the Data Management Council led by the Enterprise Data Management team. * Provides requested policy-oriented information to management to support strategic planning and decision-making. * Maintains relationships with leaders in Finance and IT and secures support and necessary approvals for data governance initiatives. * Promotes best practices, consistency, transparency and execution excellence while ensuring program achieves milestones.
