Job Description:

This role sits within PepsiCo's Corporate Development team and will lead/support Mergers & Acquisitions work, with a primary focus on our key businesses: North America Beverages, Frito-Lay North America and North America Nutrition.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Lead cross-functional team to execute a wide range of mission-critical and strategic M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, minority investments

  • Collaborate with Sectors / Business Units and Corporate senior executives to develop multi-year M&A strategy / pipeline

  • Influence key decision makers to align and advance on transactions and initiatives

  • Cultivate and leverage external relationships

  • Develop and mentor rest of the M&A team and build a strong talent bench for the Company

Additional competencies preferred:

  • Highly experienced leading large cross-functional teams in a global, matrix organization

  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple complex M&A projects in parallel

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think big picture without losing sight to details

  • Skillful at building trust with and influencing senior-level stakeholders

  • Proven ability to hit the ground running and adapt to new environment

  • Strong ability work collaboratively within teams across the organization


  • A minimum of 4 years of post-MBA transaction execution experience either in corporate development / M&A department of a corporation, or an investment bank or similar financial services institution. Private equity experience also applicable

  • Experience in the execution of strategic alliances including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority positions

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Food and/or beverage experience, as well as related consumer products background is preferred, but company will consider exceptional candidates with relevant skill sets from other industries.

  • Upward mobility to help PepsiCo build a world-class senior finance executive bench

  • MBA from top Business School highly preferred

These systems include Business Objects, Category Captain Database (CCDS), QUICKBASE, Microsoft Access, BRAVO and SharePoint. Responsibilities Include (But not limited to): * Troubleshooting issues with Systems * Maintain master file data integrity including contract prices, bottler, and supplier data within CCDS system. * Use SQL language to research and troubleshoot files rejected by the CCDS system * Create and manage reports for Category and Finance teams using tools such as Business Objects and QuickBase * Maintain Cash Management system using Microsoft Access and Accounting Checklist in QuickBase * Ensure accurate and timely periodic load of actual volume on a periodic basis from PepsiCo's Bottlers and Divisions into the CCDS database. * Prepare periodic mapping reports for procurement teams of raw material item numbers received from PepsiCo's Bottlers and Divisions, and update the master records in GP's CCDS database system when mappings are provided * Facilitates the acquisition, integrity, and conversion of forecast data from PepsiCo's Bottlers and Divisions into QuickBase database in order to prepare the Quarterly Forecast reports. On a periodic basis, manages the load of actual volume into QuickBase from the CCDS system for comparison reporting * Provide training via telephone or video conference when necessary to North America Bottlers on forecast entry procedures and as well as liaison with PepsiCo Divisions and Independent Bottlers to ensure timelines are met with respect to forecast entries * Engage with Category teams to cleanse North American spend data for spend visibility and savings opportunities. (BRAVO) * Ensure accurate and timely periodic load of AP spend records and PCard records on a periodic basis from PepsiCo's North America AP systems * Challenge Bravo to streamline close – from 5 weeks to 2 – and increase data integrity System Enhancements: * Partner with PepsiCo's IT divisions and contractors to maintain and develop enhancements for multiple custom systems used by Global Procurement, and provide project management oversight for these initiatives * The Financial Sr. System Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of automated systems used by PepsiCo's Global Procurement department. A primary responsibility of this role is to help identify areas where opportunity for process improvement exists within Global Procurement's system infrastructure, and suggest/develop solutions to bridge these gaps Qualifications/Requirements The individual in this role should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to collaborate with the different teams within GP including the Planning, Control, and Center of Excellence teams. The person in this role should have the ability to take complex technical processes and explain them using language that non-technical personnel can understand.
