The Finance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring finance transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
The Finance Coordinator will:
Review purchases, standard contracts, individual journal entries and internal charges, batch journal entries and internal charges.
Processes checks in QuickBooks.
Provide guidance for purchases, provide financial review and approval of travel expenses and basic funds management.
Work closely with SOFS groups and employees, as well as functional office staff, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
Hire, train, and lead student workers supporting the SOFS office.
This position functions under general supervision and is expected to utilize technology to provide professional services.
