FinancialControls Analyst

Our role is to protect and enhance organizational value andsupport Asurion in meeting its goals and objectives through conductingassurance and consulting projects around the globe. As Financial ControlsAnalyst, you will be counted on to embrace the following expectations:

  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Asurion's businessactivities and financial processes.

  • Assist with the internal assessment of in-scopeglobal controls over financial reporting through risk-based evaluation ofdesign and operating effectiveness.

  • Execute Walkthroughs and Testing of in scopefinancial processes and controls.

  • Assist in tracking remediation of deficiencies.

  • Coordinate with control owners to ensure promptreview of SOC reports.

  • Assist in coordination with External auditors asrequired.

  • Execute work in compliance with the InternationalStandards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit.

  • Communicate thoroughly and often to FinancialControls Manager and internal stakeholders. Be transparent andtrustworthy.

  • Be able to identify and articulate risks in a givenbusiness process.


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance,preferred. Other degrees considered if in conjunction with experience andcertification.

  • CPA, CIA, CCSA preferred.

  • 0 3 years Internal Controls, Audit, Processimprovement experience. Public accounting experience a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; experienceof Auditboard, Lucidcharts a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, COSO, IFRS,US GAAP.

Position Summary Bridgestone Americas is looking for a Finance Director for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) group - within Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, North America (BATO). The LSCM group includes the management of Bridgestone's distribution system including warehouse, transportation, freight and administrative activities. Working with the BATO North America Director and the Executive Director, LSCM, this role will oversee and lead the financial functions of the full LSCM business. In addition to traditional roles of ensuring fiscal control and regulatory compliance, the primary focus of this position will be to partner with the Executive Director, LSCM to develop and implement business strategies that secure Bridgestone's position as a market leader. Bridgestone is seeking a well-balanced leader who is comfortable in strategic discussions at the executive level that involve the full scope of the organization. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. He/she will report directly to the Vice President of Finance, Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain, with a strong dotted line to the Executive Director, LSCM. Currently this role has two direct reports with potential to expand. Responsibilities * Serve as a strategic business partner to the LSCM group, and BATO business units. * Collaboratively evaluate opportunities for business growth as well as cost control. * Proactively drive strategy and finance discussions within the business. * Own the forecast and budgeting process. * Evaluate risks and opportunities for the business. * Direct the establishment and maintenance of financial policies, accounting principles, practices, procedures and controls for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports as required. * Ensure financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). * Drive process and system improvements. * Develop and analyze month-end financial reporting. * Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, determine insights, and distribute to the organization. * Drive process and system improvements around financial reporting and internal controls. * Ensure financial results are reported accurately and timing and in accordance with established policies. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; graduate degree preferred * Minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience leading teams of finance professionals * Extensive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience * Exceptionally strong analytical and evaluation skills * Self starter than takes initiative to complete tasks with minimal direction or guidance * Highly effective communication skills (verbal, listening, and written) * Talent for managing and mentoring teammates and cultivating a positive culture * Comfortable presenting to and interacting with senior leaders * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables * Strong convictions and candor, combined with solid emotional intelligence * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Bridgestone Firestone Nashville TN
