Description of Job

Our Finance Business Process Lead seeks out process improvement opportunities or GAP opportunities and organizes team events and projects to change or create new processes to successfully achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness. You will ensure that all processes are documented and teams are adequately trained on the new or revised processes. Will provide customer service and training to users of the solutions and ensure processes flow as expected.

You will assist in overseeing and leading various projects for the Chief Financial Office. This position provides guidance, training, and support for these functional areas. This includes reporting to various OIT stakeholders. The position will focus on the coordination of projects, management of Finance applications and solutions, and general support of the Finance Office.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Successful candidates for this position will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Business or equivalent years of experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a financial professional.

Idea candidates will possess the following skills and/or experience:

  • Previous business process improvement experience.

  • Process improvement training (LEAN, Six Sigma, SOLVE etc.).

  • Experience providing top-notch customer service.

  • Business policy development experience.

  • Business policy/process documentation experience.

Job Responsibilities: * Ensure the activities required to establish the Group BPM Team(s) are executed in a consistent and standard manner. Activities such as hiring, on-boarding, training and infrastructure set up and communication are included in GBPM Execution. * Speak and provide requirements on behalf of Enterprise Business Process Management to Business Groups and/or Enterprise Functions for standing up a Group BPM Team * Support the execution of the Group BPM Team(s) Play-book * Become expert on Business Process Management Framework * Understand existing Business Groups and/or Enterprise Functions to build a holistic integrated build out strategy * Understand the existing business & technology architecture/ landscape for the organization * Understand the existing business project inventory, active process improvement efforts, MBO's and transformation efforts that could be impacted by Group BPM Team * Consults with management and business partners on matters of significance regarding strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for the applicable business functions. Such consultation includes discussion of alternatives and implications. * Presents to executive management on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements. * Utilizes thorough knowledge of the LOB's or business group's functional area or products to support and drive strategic initiatives for the business. * Provides work direction to lower level staff. * Leads support functions and/or operations/production oversight usually for multiple business groups for a Line of Business or for a significantly diverse and complex business group within a Line of Business. * Functions supported may include: policy/procedure administration and adherence, systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, legal and regulatory adherence, SLA negotiation/development, reporting and analysis, project funding, pipeline, process improvement, quality management (example: may include negotiation of SLA and QA program across multiple LOBs), MBO development, communications, financial control/budgeting oversight (example: monitoring business expenses) and/or team member processing (example: planning focal review).
