We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Partner to own the relationship with the PlanGrid R&D organization.

This position will play a critical role in partnering directly with the Engineering, Product and Design teams by providing actionable financial insights to the management team, collaborating with the Infrastructure team on cloud cost management initiatives and working closely with the business to manage their spend and headcount. This person will be the go-to finance person for the PlanGrid R&D teams.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can clearly articulate the "why" behind the numbers, has the ability to work independently as well as collaborate cross functionally with varying levels of management, and doesn't shy away from working with ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the organization's initiatives and partner with the R&D management team to provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations

  • Manage both fixed and variable spend for the PlanGrid R&D teams

  • Work closely with budget owners to insure responsible spend management

  • Own the monthly forecast submissions and close requirements for the PlanGrid R&D budget

  • Closely manage headcount and contractor hiring plans

  • Distinguish expenditures between COGS and OPEX

  • Serve as a liaison between the business unit and the rest of the company

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to achieve better results. Follow standards and ensure compliance with company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (finance, business, accounting or engineering)

  • CFA and/or MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of related finance experience

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, inquisitive mind, data savvy and experience with financial models and analyses

  • Proven success in partnering with cross functional teams

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience in Cloud/SaaS industry and an understanding of related finance and accounting policies

  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships
