Job Description

As a Finance Associate Analyst at PepsiCo, you will be a key Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise and recommendations that enable effective decision-making within the business. The Finance Associate Analyst will be a key contact within the NAN SG&A team. The Finance Associate Analyst will provide overall process support for period close, preparation of forecasts, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP), along with financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing insightful analysis of SG&A business results and perform ad-hoc analyses that lead to problem-solving and business-improving recommendations

  • Reporting and analysis including periodic reporting and forecast analysis

  • Period close activities to include working closely with the controller's group to ensure accuracy and completeness of entries

  • BPC system administrator and key systems contact for cost center owners

  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects and analyses as requested

  • Working with cross-functional teams to manage P&L expectations

Qualifications/Requirements

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Finance or Business Administration preferred)

Work Experience:

  • 2 - 3 years of finance analyst experience

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights

  • Ability to function well in a team environment

  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage information gathering requests and effectively interact with cross-functional partners

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications (experience with BPC/SAP/Concur a plus)

  • Aptitude to work with minimal supervision

  • Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

The purpose of the role is to support the successful deployment of Global Tax team change initiatives (i.e., the Global Tax roadmap) at MHQ as well as across the various global locations, while supporting the advancement of the team culture and improved ways of working as a collective team (which includes the ability to more broadly demonstrate the skills and capacity across a diverse and dispersed team). Key requirements include working with the various teams to define their as-is states/processes, and be a champion of driving a consistent, improved future state across the teams, managing some of the key support relationships, data collection/management and workflow through technology and potentially other support areas. The person will have a broad brief to support implementing changes to the operating and systems frameworks in Global Tax that will best facilitate the advancement and streamlining of the Global Tax function, including the rollout and adoption of the broad capabilities of various technology tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint not just from a functionality perspective, but from a team collaborative, cultural perspective as well. This person will be responsible for: * Liaison and control point across multiple user groups on change initiatives * Workshop facilitation, requirements gathering and process mapping * Finding opportunity areas for improvement * Technical skills to develop and trouble shoot some of the team tools, such as Microsoft solutions (Sharepoint, Team, and OneDrive), Alteryx, Tableau, Oracle, OneSource and other tax-related software solutions * Central control point for any testing on new initiatives, including ability to quickly learn key features and operations of new software solutions to be deployed * Liaising with business users (along with Global Technology team as needed) and transitioning any solutions into production in a controlled, supported manner * Manage scope and change control processes within the program of work * Change management by supplying to communications, training plans, documentation, etc. There is a requirement for a well-organised individual possessing extremely good social skills, with a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness to understand the status quo, and to facilitate improvement solutions not just through the existing team, but potentially across broader teams and even by reference to industry best-standards available. The ability to work in a multi-jurisdiction team environment is key, and the person will need to be a strong and effective communicator who can bring people along the change journey with them and use the existing team to its fullest.
