Position Overview

Working in our no-haggle sales environment, the F&I Manager makes credit decisions, submits deals to our lenders for approval and helps bridge disconnects in the sales process. With your background in automotive sales or finance, you'll find the right finance and insurance products for every customer, no matter what their situation.

What will I do every day?

  • Welcome customers to the store and transition them from Sales to Finance during their vehicle purchase process

  • Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships

  • Determine customer financing needs and payment options based on a consultative interview process

  • Present a fully transparent pricing menu to customers detailing their financing options and products

  • Process finance transactions and ensure 100% compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations

  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction

  • Build rapport with customers to create a base of referrals

  • Set and achieve targeted sales goals

  • Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help customers

  • Ensure that all administrative processes are handled in a timely fashion and in compliance with company policy

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for the F&I Manager?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience

  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

  • Prior sales experience preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Experience and desire to work with technology

  • Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record

Plans, develops and implements, systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency for the division. Provides reports to assist in management decision-making regarding school facilities, equipment and operations. Directs Auxiliary Services for District warehouses, and maintains accurate inventories. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Business Administration * Maintains communication with division Directors, and provides any needed information. * Assists in managing the operational and fiscal activities of the division including financial goals, budgets, procurement, staffing levels, payroll, the work order system, and purchase cards. * Assists in compiling budgets and cost estimates based on documented program needs. * Analyzes and documents business processes and problems; develops solutions to enhance quality and efficiencies. * Assists in developing productivity and quality goals. * Supervises development, implementation, and evaluation of the purchase card program. * Supervises development, implementation, and evaluation of the Maintenance work order program; supervises the work order program call center. * Monitors consumption of gasoline, diesel, and liquid propane gas (LPG), and prepares updates as prices affect the budget; prepares contracts for fuel and other areas as needed. * Initiates purchase orders and bids in accordance with budgetary limitations and District policies. * Oversees and approves the input of purchase orders and the review and approval of invoices. * Provides training to staff in understanding budgets and making data-driven decisions. * Supports development, implementation, and evaluation of District Operations software. * Supervises business support staff in accordance with District policies and procedures. Warehouse Administration * Designs, directs and monitors an inventory control program. * Coordinates closely with Division of Technology, Text Books and Child Nutrition Services to ensure that the warehouse requirements for their divisions are being met efficiently. * Evaluates warehoused surplus equipment for reuse throughout the District; prepares and coordinates auctions of surplus equipment and vehicles per Board of Trustees Policy. * Implements criteria and procedures for inventory to be maintained in District warehouses. * Supervises publication and distribution of Warehouse catalog. Policy, Reports, & Laws * Develops fleet administration standards and vehicle/bus operating policies. * Implements federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policies. * Compiles, maintains, files, and presents all reports, records, and other documents required. * Maintains thorough knowledge of laws and regulations governing District operations. Budget & Inventory * Develops, analyzes, and prepares budget reports. * Provides budget updates monthly and quarterly to assist with efficient planning efforts. * Communicates with Business and Finance staff to be aware of up-to-date changes. * Works closely with Purchasing to develop, maintain, and update "Competitive Sealed Proposals" for vehicles, equipment, parts, and services used by the District. * Develops and administers the budget based on documented needs; ensures that operations are cost effective and funds are managed wisely. * Manages procurement of vehicles, vehicle parts, supplies and shop equipment; assists the director of transportation in the formulation of school bus and other vehicle specifications for procurement purposes. Safety * Ensures operations staff perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and that equipment is in safe operating condition. * Ensures operations staff follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing, and operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. * Ensures operations supervisors correct unsafe conditions in all work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to leadership. Supervisory Responsibilities * Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff, and makes recommendations relative to assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal.
