Position OverviewThe Financial Services Director has the opportunity to lead a team of Financial Service professionals to create an exceptional experience for Customers. This role is responsible for selecting, training, coaching, developing and retaining the very best team, while driving a high-level of performance among the Financial Services team to achieve targeted profit margins and product sales to drive Customer loyalty.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Leading yourself and the team in a way that supports AutoNation's Vision and Mission

  • Setting a clear vision and goals for the Financial Services team to achieve targeted performance

  • Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and AutoNation best practice processes

  • Driving the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations including support to the Sales team in structuring transactions

  • Processing finance transactions including lender approval and ensuring 100% compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations

  • Building lender and other vendor relationships; ensuring proper lender mix

  • Ensure timely funding of all contracts and control of contracts in transit; obtain resolution of all returned contracts

  • Conduct frequent deal audits to ensure compliance

  • Ensuring that all administrative processes are handled timely and in compliance with Company policy

  • Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Three to five years of automotive financial services experience

  • Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others

  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals

  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience and desire to work with technology

  • Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

  • Valid Financial Services licenses as required by state

VIEW JOBS 2/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-22T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: Finance leadership position in Westchester Specialty Group (WSG) responsible for managing the consolidations, financial analysis, reporting, and planning functions across the division's eight business practice towers. This role will have direct responsibility for the consolidated planning and forecasting activities, managing the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, and providing accurate, clear, concise reporting to the WSG and Corporate Finance management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Critical factors for success include delivering results while maintaining a detailed focus, ability to take ownership and meet deadlines, effective management of the team as well as working independently, identifying issues and developing sound recommendations for remediation, developing relationships, a willingness and desire to continuously build on insurance and product knowledge, and the ability to thrive in fast paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead a team of 9 people in two locations (GA, PA), plus working closely with the WSG Consolidations team. Some travel will be required. * Responsible for building the consolidated annual plan, strategic plan and twice quarter forecasting. * Responsible for consolidated weekly premium forecasting. * Responsible for monthly, quarterly and YTD analysis and commentary on financial statements (primarily the P&L) for executive management and business leaders, providing clear and accurate descriptions of the significant events impacting the results. * Review and analyze metrics on various segments of the P&L, including Premium, Reinsurance, and Acquisition Expenses. * Identify and implement opportunities for automation, efficiency and overall improvement. * Ensure accuracy and transparency of data and all financial reporting at a detailed level. * Provide business leaders with relevant, timely, and impactful financial and metric data to inform business decisions. * Analyze data to support unusual activity, trends, or occurrences and inform management of the findings. Continue to follow up on issues through resolution. Technical Skills and Requirements: * Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting or Finance * CPA and/or MBA preferred * 10 years of relevant experience with a large public company in an accounting or financial analysis role, or experience with a large or Big 4 firm in an auditing role * Insurance financial and accounting knowledge/experience strongly preferred * Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail * Strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make strong recommendations * Proficiency in end-user applications (e.g., Microsoft products – Excel, Word, Powerpoint) * Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization, particularly with staff in remote locations * Ability to problem solve and work autonomously, to manage multiple projects and staff, and to prioritize appropriately * Must demonstrate an orientation to results * Demonstrated integrity and dedication * Professional attitude, appearance and demeanor Chubb Alpharetta GA
