The Team You'll Work With

As an Equity and Finance Analyst enrolled in our 9-12-month rotational program, you will get the opportunity to master the fundamentals of startup valuations, enhance customer experience through services, and gain expertise in individual tax advisory through collaboration with our Equity Advisory team. Additionally, you will have the chance to gather information on investment performance by working with our Portfolio Insights team.

During the program, you'll rotate through three of our four teams, spending 3-6 months with each. This immersive experience will give you insight into the daily tasks of each team, providing you with a holistic understanding of our customers' journey. Success in this program will position you well to take on a full time, specialized role on one of the teams.

The Problems You'll Solve

  • Manage data validations, customer support, ongoing projects, and ad-hoc valuations in a timely manner

  • Provide exceptional customer service to address and resolve customer issues prior to valuation report delivery via on-demand specialized support (phone, email, and other)

  • Escalate customer issues as needed to appropriate team/level

  • Review and interpret financial statements, articles of incorporation, note documents, and other legal/financial documents

  • Translate unstructured financial data into Carta models

  • Prepare or revise valuation work or audit responses as needed

  • Participate in discussions to drive operational improvements for the team

  • Complete assigned tasks and follow-up as necessary

  • Provide feedback to R&D via testing, bug reporting, etc.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Comfortable learning quickly and taking on new challenges

  • Willingness to solve problems and work autonomously

  • Able to address finance-related and accounting questions in a clear and concise manner

  • Knowledge of financial statements and common financial concepts

  • Experienced with multi-tasking and able to balance dozens of projects at any given time

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Possess a helpful and professional attitude with excellent verbal and written skills

  • Exhibit diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through customer issues as well as a strong sense of curiosity to solve problems

Salary

Carta's compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

  • $67,500 Seattle, WA
