Position Title: Analyst, Operations Finance - Food

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Operations Finance

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

This position will report to the Senior Finance Manager and support Supply Chain in providing timely and accurate financial information. The position also supports the Finance team in meeting organizational goals, deliverables, and deadlines.

Job Duties:

  • Assistance with month-end close, including preparation of journal entries and GL account reconciliations

  • Responsible for updating monthly inflation and variance tracking for commodities

  • Validate monthly Sourcing productivity savings and new projects savings

  • Generate various financial analyses reports for Monthly Ops reviews : Corporate/Divisional/ESOP reviews

  • Assist in the preparation of strategic plan, annual budget, and forecasting

  • Support internal/external audit requirements on a quarterly/annual basis

  • Participate and provide financial support in the annual standard cost roll process

  • Develop and update meaningful metrics and reporting tools that can facilitate decision-making

  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Accounting , Finance or related field.

  • Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (lookup formulas) and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.

  • Prior experience in Hyperion and SAP desirable.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

  • Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks

  • Consumer Products Industry Experience a plus

Supporting the Head of Finance Compliance, this individual will review processes and controls across the CFO organization to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities, liaise with Finance associates to coordinate their participation in US Bank risk management programs, provide guidance and training to business leads and lower level staff, provide risk advisory services to Finance leaders to help manage risk, and oversee audit findings and recommendations to ensure robust remediation. The position requires an individual who is able to work independently with minimal supervision, takes initiative to research and develop creative solutions to problems, and who is ready to work with the Head of Finance Compliance to build a best-in-class Finance Governance program. Responsibilities Include: * Conduct periodic control assessments to ensure that control gaps are identified and remediated. Meet with senior management to discuss findings of internal process reviews. * Identify and assist with implementing new controls. * Help facilitate internal and external audits and assessments. Oversee audit findings and recommendations. Coordinate management of issues. * Provide SOX program support as needed. * Learn the business, including settlement, pricing, interchange and other processes and related systems. * Support associates across the CFO organization with participation in US Bank risk management programs and initiatives including Third Party Risk Management, Tool Risk Governance, Process Risk Assessment, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, and Compliance Controls Documentation. * Work closely with risk and control associates across Lines of Defense in the United States, Europe and Latin America. * Produce meaningful reporting to inform Finance leadership of risk management activities, program status, and key emerging risks. * Coach and mentor junior staff.
