The purpose of this position is to support management with business decision-making through timely and accurate tracking, analysis & budgeting of Marketing Spend for RMC, RRP & LFC businesses in the US Market, as well as support of global & local systems from finance perspective.
This position is located in our head office in Teaneck, NJ and is a 9 Month contract role.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Maintain monthly reporting and monthly analysis of Marketing spend for three US business units vs. plans and prior year for Local Management facilitating business decisions. In cooperation with accounting department ensure correct and timely month close for all Marketing related transactions. Attend monthly (or as needed) meetings with budget holders to clarify trends & deviations from the plan.
Coordinate with Marketing budget holders to prepare Marketing budgets for all short and long-term planning exercises along with plan to plan variance analysis. Consolidate and submit final Marketing plans to the rest of the FP&A team and Marketing functions.
Maintain & provide support in case of system upgrade to the finance side of TME application. Create promotional codes, validate and approve payments within assigned approval threshold, update store planning groups and other day-to-day tasks as necessary. Ensure clear and timely communication to the Field Sales Force on all changes to existing promo codes and store eligibility. Routinely upgrade TME reports to meet increasing business needs.
Maintain TM1 (financial reporting & planning application) primarily focusing on "Sales Allowances" module. Coordinate with TM1 external consultants when a system change is required to ensure uninterrupted business support. Provide validated Sales Allowances spend information to the rest of the FP&A team and Sales & Marketing functions on a regular basis.
Serve as the power user and/or project matter expert for SAP upgrades. Assist the rest of the FP&A team and other individuals in gaining/removing appropriate access to SAP.
4 year BA/BS Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
4+ Years in a Finance role with prior experience in planning and analysis or marketing finance, preferably in multi-national FMCG organization.
Advanced excel and analytical skills combined with ability to think strategically and understand business needs. Self-starter, able to think outside the box, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ready to work under tight deadlines. Work cross-functionally and interface with various levels of management. Open to a multi-national work environment.
