Job Summary:
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
Manage and supervise the accounts payable process and oversee all activities of the accounts payable function.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Provide monthly financial reports detailing accounts payable status and facilitate financial audits related to accounts payable.
Reconciliation of key accounts payable related balances and accounts.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure all invoices are accurate and have been properly coded, documented and approved.
Manage the Company's credit card program.
Implement AP and related system enhancements and upgrades.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial reports and documentation.
Coordinate all payment types included checks, ACH, auto payments and credit cards.
Manage accounts payable processing portals.
Coordinate inbound mail.
Work with vendors to establish and maintain credit.
Adherence to firm deadlines.
Assist with month-end closing and other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Education
Competencies/Skills -
Proficiency with accounting software, AP software packages, credit card program management, Excel, Outlook and Word.
1099 preparation experience.
Sage Intacct experience preferred.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
An ability to think strategically while also engaging in the tactical review to drive operational performance.
Location - DFW/Dallas, TX
Mental/Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/ or fingers. Must have the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position. Light physical effort requires handling average weight objects up to 10 lbs. and some standing and walking. Learning, thinking, concentration, and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations' situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
