Our Finance team is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join the team in our Worcester, MA office. This is a full time, exempt role. This is a hybrid opportunity.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To ensure that the company's financial statements are accurately reported in terms of the transactions processed on a daily basis within the department. To ensure that all financial controls and balances have been met according to Internal Audit and GAAP.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Provide daily support for the Accounts Payable and Purchasing system applications.

  • Perform detailed and extensive functional system testing for all electronic interfaces, system enhancements and upgrades to ensure business requirements and financial controls are met.

  • Perform daily pay cycles.

  • Perform daily and monthly system balancing of the A/P and G/L modules.

  • Perform G/L account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and adjust if necessary on a monthly basis.

  • Audit vendor statements to ensure there is no risk or exposure to company financial statements.

  • Develop scripts for workload automation and ensure adequate controls are always in place.

  • Develop and perform automated system scripts to improve productivity and efficiency within the department.

  • Draft journal entries as necessary.

  • Track and analyze workloads (performance measures).

  • Analyze business problems and resolve discrepancies.

  • Work closely with internal resources (Procurement, IS, and Manage Cash).

  • Review employee travel expense reimbursements for compliance to the company Corporate card program.

  • Assist others in the department as necessary Train team members as necessary.

  • Special projects as required.

  • Act as a back-up to Accounts Payable Manager when necessary

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • 1-3 years related experience

  • Knows and applies well the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field or specialization.

  • Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in nature, but usually involves limited responsibility.

  • Minimal administrative duties.

  • Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of moderately difficult assignments.

  • Experience with project work and be accountable for reporting on project status.
