The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, which may include general accounting, costing, or budget data. Examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting records, and assisting in preparing financial research and analysis for use in development of business strategies and tactics. Associate Degree in Accounting, Bachelor's Degree preferred. 1 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance. Proactively participate in plant operations via internal meetings, interaction with staff and hourly employees. Work with Shared Service Center to resolve any 3-way match issues. Performs frequent analysis of AR Aging to maintain 98% current rate. Communicates "red flags" or pertinent AR issues to Sales and create a collaborative plan of action. Researches and resolves questions and issues as they arise, Review of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Develop and review plant balance sheet account reconciliations. Monitor plant fixed assets to ensure accuracy..Coordinate with HR on payroll activity movements. Analyze construction in progress account as well as CapEx in AP monthly. Ensures all fixed asset purchases are properly capitalized according to Amcor Policy. Knowing, understanding, and supporting approved accounting and departmental policies and procedures. Prepare, review and present annual operational budgets and profit projections. Analyze plant income statement to report on performance and drive continuous improvement. Integrating various business processes in efforts to streamline processes. Responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of internal controls. Supports internal and external financial audits, including semi-annual ASX certification. Coordinate the preparation and submission of plant driven capital projects (CEAV's)
