Come join a friendly and diverse clinical team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a Final Year-Graduate level (MSW) Clinical Intern (unpaid) for the Adult Outpatient Center at our Leominster site.
The Leominster Adult Outpatient Center provides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, and behavioral health. The Leominster Counseling Center also offers specialized substance use disorder treatment. Our office based opioid treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment and we have a Second Offender Alcohol Education program.
Functioning under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the intern will provide individual and group therapy, complete strength-based comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and work with clients on discharge planning. They also work in our Open Access Program for 4 hours per week, where they see walk-in clients who come for regular therapy or urgent care.

Weekly clinical supervision to meet clinical licensing requirements

This internship offers supervision and direction from a licensed clinician. Training and practice are provided in the following areas:
Direct clinical treatment to adults. This will include training and practice in completing diagnostic evaluations, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, and managing a small caseload of individual, group, couple and/or family therapy;
Multidisciplinary team and staff meeting attendance and participation;
Collateral consultation and case management;
Documentation standards in the agency's electronic medical record;
In-service education, clinical supervision and professional meeting participation;
Professionalism: Respecting diverse views and approaches, demonstrating Standards of Respect, and contributing to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, clients and visitors
Currently enrolled in Graduate degree program in social work, counseling or related field and are a 2nd/final year student.
Current degree program is on clinical license track (LCSW or LICSW)
Experience in the area of practice is desirable
Ability to engage/develop therapeutic relationships with adult clients with a range of presenting issues
Must be able to pass a CORI background check.
