Brief Description:

A Final Assembler performs parts and material installation and assembly tasks per written and verbal work instructions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs installations and assemble parts according to special written work instructions, routings, blueprints and verbal directives.
  • Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilizations.
  • Communicates and cooperates with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operates and maintains shop equipment.
  • Follows quality service standards and complies with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Keeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Must have experience in the interior and exterior trim installation on trucks, buses or automobiles.
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and crawl.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to see and adjust visual focus both up-close and at a distance; position requires peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to see and distinguish colors.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to high-levels of noise.
  • May be exposed to caustic fluids and fumes.
  • Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots and hardhats.
  • Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
  • Position may operate a motor vehicle and may work outdoors.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this position with be in the range of $18 to $20 per hour. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40 hour work week.
