Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co.

LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Prepare global monthly and quarterly reporting packages for business heads, including but not limited to analysis of profit & loss (P&L) drivers for external reporting (earnings release, 10-Q and 10-K). Review daily/weekly/monthly P&L commentaries for the Investment Banking Division and Joint Venture P&L commentaries for specific Securities Division desks. Work closely with the trading desks and utilize in-depth reviews of relevant financial markets to ensure proper understanding and reporting of banking transactions.

Execute the price verification process to maintain the pricing integrity of all traded assets, interacting heavily with traders, strategists and support areas. Evaluate new business activities for P&L, balance sheet, and capital implications in conjunction with teams across the firm. Perform month-end posting and reconciliations to the general ledger. Perform ad hoc analyses of revenue/expense trends and P&L impact of deals.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or a related quantitative field.

Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have experience with: performing P&L analyses and commentary as they relate to trades carried out under contemporaneous capital markets conditions; applying knowledge of key financial instruments, including derivatives valuation and price curve validation; applying risk measures and analytics necessary for Volcker reporting, as well as internal risk monitoring reports; creating tools using advanced MS Excel functions, including Vlookup, Hlookup, Pivot Table, VBA macros and data validation; utilizing data reporting and analytics IT systems, including Bloomberg and Tableau Report; and collaborating with peers from various disciplines to identify, address, document and communicate risks and results to stakeholders and managers.
