Your Role at KIK

Our Mars, PA Plant is looking for self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Filling Techs to be part of our growing Production TEAM. People that take the initiative and action to pursue production line goals and complete tasks. People that are thorough and accurate in accomplishing tasks. What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate various high-speed liquid filling machinery including but not limited to fillers, labelers, cappers, case erectors, bottle tables, bagging tables, bottle packers, case sealers, bottle erectors, etc.

  • Examine and act on production orders to determine quantities to be manufactured, job specifications and or special instructions.

  • Maintain accurate and complete production, downtime, and quality inspection records.

  • Maintain quality standards.

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting on the assigned equipment and perform minor equipment adjustments and changeovers.

  • Follow Safety /GMP guidelines.

  • Comply with PPE, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, Housekeeping Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.

  • Utilize Specification Book to determine proper parts (boxes, caps, bottles, labels, etc) and proper coding (bottle date codes, box stencil, box barcode, etc) are being used for a specific product number.

  • Attendance at pre-shift Huddle Meeting to discuss Safety, Quality, Production, and Maintenance related items.

Working Conditions

  • Long periods of standing is a requirement of the position.

  • Lifting, twisting, carrying up to 45 lbs. is a requirement of the position.

  • Climbing ladders to 4 ½ ft height to stand on platform.

  • Repetitive motion work involving fingers, hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.

  • Working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments.

  • Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location.

  • Be able to wear gloves, earplugs, safety glasses/goggles, and steel toe shoes as standard PPE.

  • Be able to wear full face respirator as necessary.

  • Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.

  • Must be able to work volunteer and mandatory overtime where necessary.

What You'll Bring

  • 0-1 years' experience as a Machine operator in the packaging industry.

  • Production knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for effective manufacturing preferred.

  • Must be able to verbally communicate, read and write in English.

  • Basic mathematics skills required.

  • Must be able to take direction and work unsupervised
