Filling Machine Operator

You will work onsite at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan, facility - Home of Vlasic Brand pickle and pepper products. You will report to Production and Team Leaders. You will work a regular afternoon shift schedule 2:10 until 10:40 p.m. with overtime based on business demand. Your will receive an hourly pay rate $18.77/hour plus $0.25/hour shift premium.

What will you do:

You will monitor the operation of the filling machine. You will verify correct fill based on routine performance of weight checks.

DUTIES:

The Filling Machine Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the machine. The operator will oversee and ensure that the jars are filled properly. The Filling operator will perform machine and line shut down.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow standard work procedures.

• Operate the Filling Machine equipment.

• Maintain a steady stock flow to the line.

• Verify stock quality.

• React to glass breakage adhering to plant procedures and safety rules.

• Administer lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.

• Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.

• Adapt to changing situations.

• Work Quality department, Production and Team Leaders.

• Train employees.

• Complete all documentation observing Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.

• Read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
