Performance Description:

These positions have the primary responsibility of manufacturing of compressed gas and liquid products, which includes pre-fill inspection of cylinders, filling, labeling and analysis or quarantine of cylinders prior to release for shipment. In these roles, the ideal candidates must also move and store cylinders and may load/unload cylinders for transport.

What you will offer:

  • Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

  • Ensure manifold meets required specifications (daily)

  • Ensure all cylinders pass required pre-fill inspections prior to filling

  • Fill cylinders as outlined in the SOP

  • Moves compressed gas or liquid cylinders

  • Correctly label cylinders

  • Ensures completion and accuracy of paperwork

  • Ensures compliance with cGMP, HazMat, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies

  • Other duties as assigned

Your Background and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Able to read and write English

  • Able to read and interpret gauges and analog dials

  • Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders

  • Forklift skills and experience a plus

  • Ability to lift 75-100 lbs

  • Must be detail-oriented, flexible and work well with other people

  • Ability to perform duties in a safety-conscious manner with minimal supervision

SCOPE AND IMPACT: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Positions cylinders in manifold racks. Operates equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders. Performs all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released. Cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected. Regularly inspects and maintains pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices. Fills cylinders or containers to proper capacity by either setting pressure gauge to specified reading and watching for indication of full cylinders; adjusting valves and observing gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure; observing scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight or filling cylinder to excess, rolling cylinder onto scale and connecting exhaust line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight. Accurately maintains cylinder filling records and ensures that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations. Completes and attaches warning and other identification tags, labels and decals to cylinders. Loads cylinders onto vehicles using hand truck or lift gate and records type and quantity of cylinders QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of associates of the organization.
