You'll be responsible for performing research, gathering requirements and documenting process flows with business users, technical infrastructure staff and external vendors/partners in support of the Managed File Transfer (MFT) service. We will look for you to document, develop and track business and functional requirements to implement MFT connections. The work completed would be focused on the Managed File Transfer service not a specific business unit, process, or other focused solution context (domain) but may also involve working with technical partners to communicate business requirements.

Elicit, document and track requirements for implementing Managed File Transfer setups.
Develop and elicit requirements for individual file transfers as well as the initial connection as requested by internal/external customers; prepare business and functional requirements to be used by the MFT Engineering team to configure the file transfer.
Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and identified SMEs.
Collaborate with project teams to adhere to solution scope and maintain requirements traceability.
Support and execute business readiness activities including the communication plan to support changes to technology, processes and people.
Develop new procedures, specifications for system changes or recommendations for product and/or process changes. Facilitate the implementation of changes with management and staff.
Design customer feedback mechanisms to gather ongoing information about business processes. Analyze results and creates plans to address weaknesses.
Develop and maintain reporting tools for use in measuring business area performance against metrics/industry benchmarks and ensuring data integrity and systems stability in support of operations management.
Provide timely and accurate access to data, distribute reports and present/explain results to business area supported as well as to other BCBSNC areas. Work with trainers to develop training programs that target problem areas.
Use industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, business process mapping, functional decomposition analysis/or financial ROI modeling for initiatives that are at an intermediate level.
Support business vendor relationships by documenting business issues, determining project needs, and supporting training as needed.
Perform peer reviews of less experienced analysts' work as needed.
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of analysis experience to include experience with research, process analysis, writing business requirements and business functional design.
If no degree, 5 years of analysis experience as stated above.
Visual Design tools knowledge/skills highly desirable
Experience in or knowledge of the health care industry is strongly preferred.
Strong oral and written communication, listening and facilitation skills needed.
Strong PC Skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint

Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret and present quantitative data.
Ability to work in teams and independently.

Working knowledge of business analysis methodology
