  • This position is based out of our Southwest Austin, TX (Wild Basin) office.*


This position will be creating all Print File Preparation for Everi's Slot Machine cabinets and other Product Merchandise. Essentially, taking our current artwork and manipulating it using mostly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for preparation to be printed.

Who We Are Looking For

  • You have 2 years of experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • You are very organized, efficient in your art and have a meticulous eye.

  • You are comfortable working with all levels of management and all departments of a business.

  • You are comfortable traveling for a week, up to approximately three times a year, to visit out of state studios and to meet with vendors.

  • You might have Catalog Preparation and/or Screen Printing/Silk Screening experience. (Big Plus!)

  • You might have experience using Project Management Software like Agile and/or JIRA. (Preferred)

  • You would feel comfortable not only being able to manipulate art for printing, but also re-create the art for printing, if needed.

Job Description

  • Responsible for maintaining file organization and etiquette; displaying exceptional file folder structure, file naming, and layer naming conventions within their own or previous professional works.

  • Displays a proficient understanding of Asset Management; capable of creating digital art that can be shared throughout a team environment, meets the efficiency requirements for lightweight art assets, and is effectively delivered to a software programmer for implementation in a game.

  • Possesses advanced Customer Service Skills, including but not limited to concise and professional communications with coworkers through verbal and written skills while monitoring several applications for critical communications.

  • Actively works with others through personal exchanges, written communications, and timely delivery of game assets.

  • Possesses advanced Art and Art Software Skills displaying fundamental artistic principles in art projects.

  • Ability to take a Leadership role; at a minimum possessing the capability to self-manage and create a game independently with the growing ability to mentor less experienced artists in the professional traits listed above.

  • Must be accustomed to limited interaction with direct supervisor and mentors while completing company art goals and projects, in addition to increased mentoring responsibilities.

  • Displays a keen ability and willingness to learn or improve upon critical professional artist traits such as those listed above for growth and development in the position.

As a contributor, understanding of real-time computation and bio-mechanics, as it relates to human anatomy, is a must for creating believable skin deformation and control systems. The Technical Artist will work as part of a team and coordinate with supervisors, lead artists, and directors to create and provide content to game teams. What a Sr. Rigging TA does at EA: * Design complex skeletons, control rigs, secondary animation (fat, jiggle), and skin deformations * Design, deploy and maintain animation tools, workflows, and pipelines to improve production efficiency * Implement techniques and process to solve character and animation and deformation challenges as identified by department lead * Lead in problem identification and delivering solutions * Determine and estimate tasks for other team members to take on to the best of their abilities * Work and collaborate with the essential client partners (Art, Programming, Production, etc.) The next great EA Sr. Rigging TA needs * 5+ years of technical art/rigging/animation experience with multiple shipped game titles or VFX/feature animation * Experience with Python, C# or C++ and familiarity with the Maya API (MotionBuilder API experience a plus) * Established background in rigging and skinning complex character assets * Understand animation principles and human anatomy * Expert in standard industry tools including Maya, Houdini, and MotionBuilder in applicable areas * Have a collaborative work ethic who is not afraid of big challenges. You will be asked to identify issues and resolve them. * Document tools required to educate artists on new tools or workflows. * Degree in visual effects or technical subject area is preferred.
