File Analyst

A File Analyst is responsible for developing processes and troubleshooting test and production files submitted by Partners and/or their Employer groups. The File Analyst is a dedicated resource for all parties involved in the file implementation process.

Responsibilities include

  • Troubleshoot file errors

  • Respond to WEX Health Cloud errors from files submitted by Partners and key employers

  • Make corrections to files when necessary

  • Provide feedback to Partners and key employers on corrections needed to files

  • Work with internal teams regarding service requests related to file issues

  • Develop processes for Partners to follow when submitting files

  • Build positive relationships with Partners and key Employers contacts

  • Ensure thorough testing plans are in place

  • Work with key Partner contacts to ensure file corrections are made

  • Work with key Partner contacts to ensure files are submitted by processing deadlines

  • Partner/Employer Education

  • Educate Partners and key employers on various file types

  • Provide automated solutions to submitting files

  • Understand and train on related technologies in the file submission process

  • Proactively communicate file template changes to Partner and Employers

  • Create education materials for Partners and key employers

  • Subject Matter Expert

  • Act as a file resource for internal parties

  • Train internal team members on file layouts, changes

  • Create training documentation when needed

  • Custom Reporting Services

  • Knowledge of SQL Databases

  • Ability to build reports to assist with file successes and failures

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment

  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, and investigative skills

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Benefit experience preferred

Job Description Summary Oversees and supports existing and/or new security applications and programs; serving as the subject matter expert of assigned systems and programs. Leads projects related to assigned systems and programs. Provides in-depth support of designated mainframe, server or web-based applications. Acts as a user access control subject matter expert in projects related to existing and/or new Bank applications. Essential Job Functions * Serves as a security application or program subject matter expert with Business Units, technical support and security vendors, reporting and coordinating resolution of enhancement requests, problems and facilitating product research. * Serves as a contact for a real-time user assistance and support for information security. Responds to written and verbal inquiries from employees and/or applicable departments/branches. * Reviews security system logs and reports and maintains awareness of violations of security policies or breaches of security systems, promptly reporting all discrepancies of significance to Manager. Coordinates reviews and validation of application and network user access. * Creates and maintains appropriate technical references and development, quality assurance, and change control in support of information security interests. * Makes recommendations on department desk procedures and documents procedures for new EIS Analyst processes. Collaboratively initiates Security Standard revisions and development. * Assists with the evaluation and implementation of new data security products, services, or methodologies. Other Job Duties * Processes security system access requests to reflect authorized user and resource administration, maintaining all documentation on file for audit review, in accordance with record retention directives. Resolves escalated issues in access request processing. * Provides reports of assigned program or project metrics, issues and/or risk to Management. * Leads projects related to assigned security systems and programs. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience * Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. * May have practical knowledge of project management. * Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience. Education * Associate's Degree * H.S. Diploma Skills * Thorough understanding of operating systems, application systems and security software on different platforms. * Knowledge of LAN ID administration (using Active Directory), RACF and TS mainframe utilities, Windows or Web-based computer applications. * Facilitating the review and reporting of mainframe, distributed application and network access information and use. * Experience with RACF security software system. * Thorough understanding of information security and controls and the importance of information integrity. * Expert experience in problem resolution. * Considered a "Subject Matter Expert" (SME) for assigned application(s) and security access reviews. * General knowledge of Crystal reporting. * Analyzing and researching unknown information skills. * Excellent planning and prioritization skills. * Developing installation and department policies and procedures. * Excellent project management abilities, meeting coordination and facilitation. * Routine request support and service oriented.
