Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Fighter (Air to Air) SME - Staff Flight Simulation Trainer. The location of this position is at Scott AFB, IL. The qualified candidate will facilitate the daily execution of Mobility Air Force (MAF) Mission Profile (MMP) events and Small Team events for the MAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), Distributed Training Center (DTC).

Responsibilities include a thorough knowledge of counter-air mission, integration of other platforms in the battlespace and requisite training requirements. The Fighter (Air to Air) SME will facilitate the DTC's support of daily MAF DMO training through scheduling, scenario development, mission planning and execution materials, brief, execution and debrief support for MMP and Small Team events. The candidate may attend exercise planning conferences, meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding of unit training requirements.

To accomplish these unit training requirements he/she will develop the executable Computer Generated Forces (CGF) scenarios, mission materials and briefs for the diverse aircrew training audience. They will facilitate the execution of MAF DMO training missions while acting as the white force and assist in regulating the flow of timely injects throughout the training event.

Additional duties may include:

Candidate may provide consulting expertise to military and/or defense clients to develop and evaluate military training and doctrine. Candidate may provide specialized planning and/or execution expertise in specialized phases of military training exercises--including doctrinal development, scenario development, and after action review and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

1.Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2.Must possess a Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of related experience; 13 years with Masters
3.Must possess a current DoD Secret Clearance.
4.Must be an experienced Fighter Pilot
5.Must be knowledgeable in AFTTP 3-1, 3-3.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Current Top Secret Clearance.
2.Experienced Instructor Pilot.
3.Mission Commander or Weapons School Graduate.
4.Experience with Combat Air Forces DMO exercises and simulations.
5.Flown operationally within the past 5 years.

VIEW JOBS 2/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-05-06T00:00 Northrop Grumman seeks a current Reserve, ANG or retired/separated USAF Mobility pilot or navigator for the position of Mission Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a fast paced, growing, and dynamic program supporting the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) Program at the Scott AFB Distributed Training Center (DTC). The Mission SME will apply their operational knowledge of Air Force doctrine, aircraft capabilities and tactics to prepare realistic aircrew training scenarios and lead the execution of MAF DMO exercise events. They will lead and facilitate mission briefings and debriefings as well as evaluate simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum efficiency. They will collaborate with MAF Aircrew Training Device providers and our customers to determine exercise requirements that will enable the units to meet the MAF DMO Program vision to have warfighters train as they fight. Responsibilities: * Utilize subject matter expertise to support MAF DMO and DTC efforts. * Lead the development, coordination and integration of MAF Mission Profile (MMP) Events to maximize training. * Coordinate with MAF units, external players, exercise directors and Aircrew Training Systems personnel on DMO mission training requirements. * Provide DMO Event Control / Management during event planning and execution. * Functions as the mission SME, orchestrating Virtual-Constructive input into DMO events. * Provide instructor level expertise to help shape tactical training for participants. * Provides mission commander leadership for the execution of DMO training events. * Create and modify mission planning materials to ensure participants achieve maximum training. * Provide constructive and threat generation expertise for operational execution.
