BlackRock is seeking a candidate to join the Financial Institutions Group as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager.
Perform analysis on portfolio positioning and relative value across fixed income asset classes including: Treasuries, Agencies, MBS, Corporates, Municipals, CMBS, RMBS, ABS, CLOs, EMD, and High Yield
Manage portfolio positioning within guideline and risk tolerance constraints to ensure proper risk profile relative to client objectives.
Oversee portfolio restructurings, optimization, and trade programs to achieve portfolio objectives whether they be oriented towards total return or income.
Coordinate with broader investment teams on the execution of trade programs, ongoing surveillance of portfolio holdings, and relative value opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between investment teams and other areas of the firm to field ad-hoc client inquiries and compile deep-dives on key market developments.
Compile ongoing client materials including macro trends, positioning themes, sector summaries, and performance reviews.
Support new business growth opportunities and collaborate with client management, marketing, and consultant teams for RFP inquiries.
3+ years of experience with background in fixed income instruments and experience with insurance mandates.
Strong quantitative skills essential to manage portfolio risks, perform relative value assessment, and dynamic optimization/ construction of portfolios.
Key technical skills include Excel, Aladdin, SQL, Powerpoint.
Strong analytical skills along with core proficiency in writing and presentation skills are key.
Depth in Aladdin applications including Green Package, Prism, ATX, Aladdin Explore are a plus.
Candidate should have ability to work in a dynamic market environment and have strong project-management capabilities.
Detail-orientated and pro-active approach to problem solving are key skills.
