Position Overview

The Field Training Manager (FTM) is responsible for training Business Development Managers (BDMs) to achieve qualitative dollar sales, profitability and market share for an assigned geography. Coordinates efforts between marketing and Regional Managers to deliver advanced product messaging and business development deliverables. Monitors and improves skill progression from organizational entry sales positions to advanced senior sales positions. Participates and leads Irvine training for advancing field and marketing plan communications and execution. This is covering the CA, OR and Washington markets.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

Creates and coordinates the training program for newly hired business development managers. Interacts with the regional hiring authority to ensure a smooth and productive initial training curriculum. Monitors and enhances BDM's progress through the post new hire training phase.

Creates and coordinates the advanced training programs for progressing business development mangers. Interacts with Regional Managers, Regional Directors, Marketing and Irvine Training department to develop advanced curriculum as BDMs progress in development. Responsible for monitoring and facilitating advanced skill development.

Interact with V.P. Sales, marketing, Irvine training, Regional Directors to develop and facilitate and coordinate sales and marketing execution meetings at the national and regional level. Creates and facilitates workshops to execute the marketing plan.

Responsible for Area and regional training projects, ad-hoc opportunities, Area Sales Director support.

Requirements

  • Experience equivalent to and/or a four year college education, MBA preferred

  • 5 years of sales and sales management experience, and/or marketing experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry with sales and marketing preferred

  • Knowledge of a direct sales/cash environment or the aesthetic market preferred but not necessarily

  • Valid driver's license

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: * Flawless execution of field marketing activities and events in support of sales objectives * Coordinate activities/events, including live/on-demand Web seminars, online resource centers, e-Newsletters, whitepaper syndication programs, face-to-face seminars, executive-level round tables, trade shows, industry events, etc. * Timely management and population of CRM systems in support of activities and events * Monitor and report performance metrics of activities and events * Participation on weekly Field Sales calls and leadership calls * Weekly updating of reports to team regarding marketing activities and events * Serve as key resource/go-to person for marketing-related activities for Sales team * Regular communication of activity/event status to internal team and Sales Directors * Appropriate staffing of activities and events by Field Sales team, Product Marketing/Management team * Partnering with appropriate field personnel to ensure leads are reviewed and acted upon by sales personnel in lead management process * May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills and Experience: * Demonstrated event management skills * Experience in campaign management, target marketing, CRM process, demand generation and analytics * Able to develop and implement customer-specific marketing programs independently * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. * Excellent time management, decision making, prioritization and organization skills * Must be able to work well with others as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with a computer software company * Experience using Salesforce.com for Customer Relationship Management * Experience using Marketo for B2B campaign management and lead generation Education/Licensing/Certification: * A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent or demonstrated skills and/or related experience Travel: * Up to 25% External Recruiting Agencies/Vendors: Ivanti does not currently engage with external recruiting agencies and will not accept unsolicited resumes from any external agency.
