What does the job entail?

As the 2nd Shift Field Testing Supervisor at Monarch Tractor, you will oversee field testing activities during the second shift, ensuring the successful execution of tests for our innovative agricultural equipment. You will be responsible for leading a team of test technicians, coordinating test procedures, and ensuring the collection of accurate data to validate product performance in real-world agricultural settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership: Lead a team of test technicians during the second shift, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure the effective execution of field tests. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

• Test Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans and schedules for second-shift testing activities. Coordinate with first-shift supervisors to ensure seamless transition and continuity of testing operations.

• Test Execution: Oversee the execution of field tests during the second shift, ensuring adherence to test procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. Monitor test progress, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Data Collection and Analysis: Supervise the collection of relevant performance data during field tests, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in data analysis efforts to evaluate product performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support product development efforts.

• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with technicians to ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and readiness of testing equipment and instrumentation. Address equipment issues promptly and implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of second-shift field test activities, including test plans, procedures, and results. Prepare regular reports summarizing test findings, issues encountered, and recommendations for improvement.

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that field testing activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among team members.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings within the second-shift testing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory or leadership role in field operations or testing, preferably in the agricultural machinery or automotive industry.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.

• Technical aptitude and understanding of agricultural machinery, electrical systems, and autonomous technologies.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions, feedback, and technical information clearly and concisely.

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards governing field testing operations.

• Experience with data analysis tools and software applications for test data management and visualization.
