Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other engineering field. Three years of experience in the planning and schedule development of maintenance programs, to include maintenance of either advanced electrical, control communications, software systems, software maintenance or development are required . A Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electronics may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Recruitment Notes
The engineer will work on the Power Distribution system for the Metro-mover system. This will include all 13.2 kV facilities and equipment including transformers, high voltage breakers and switchgear, 480-volt AC, 3-phase Metromover vehicle traction power and the wayside power distribution.
The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring that the signaling system and Metromover vehicles comply with all manufacturer safety requirements. The engineer will create and update the Preventative Maintenance procedures for the vehicle, wayside, Traction Power and signaling systems as needed. The engineer will also define the requirements for all vehicle ATP vital systems to ensure compliance with all FTA, AREMA and APTA standards.
